Урок английского языка по теме «Dress right!» (УМК “Spotlight”, 5 класс)

Тип урока: комбинированный

Формы работы: фронтальная, парная, индивидуальная, групповая

Цель урока

научить учащихся рассказывать об одежде, давать рекомендации по выбору одежды в соответствии с погодными условиями

Задачи урока

научить учащихся:

- предоставлять информацию по изучаемой тематике в устной форме;

- использовать в речи фразы по теме «Одежда в любую погоду» и общаться в ситуациях, связанных с проблемами выбора одежды;

- распознавать и употреблять в речи глаголы в Present Simple и Present Continuous;

- работать в сотрудничестве.

I. Организационный момент.

Слайд 1.

1. Приветствие.

Teacher: Good morning.

Teacher: I’m glad to see you and I hope that you are fine today! Sit down, please!

There are clouds and suns on your desks. Please tell me what is your mood today? If you are bad, raise your clouds. If you are ok, raise your suns. (I hope that your mood will change to the end of our lesson.) Thank you, let’s start our lesson.

(Who can tell me the date? What day of the week is it today? I wonder what season is it now? Will you tell me three winter months?What can we do in winter? Do you like winter? What’s the weather like in winter? What’s your favourite season?

Look at the screen – There is no bad weather, there are bad clothes

Ученики определяют тему урока. Тема «Clothes». – как одеваться правильно по погоде.

3. Определения задач:

Any suggestions what are we going to learn today?(слайд)

  • Repeat “Clothes”, « Weather» words

  • Revise Present Simple and Present Continuous

  • Make recommendations how to dress right in different weather

4. Актуализация знаний

First of all, let’s practice the sounds. (слайд со звуками и словами)

And now I want you to repeat the words on the theme “Clothes” (читать со мной, индивидуально)

So, every season has its own charm, isn’t it?

So, we have a lot of clothes. And we know, that there are four seasons and different types of weather. Let’s make three groups. Your task is to divide all clothes into three columns – summer – winter – spring/autumn

Write down what is the weather like in this season and what clothes are suitable.

You have 5 minutes for this task. Your time is over! I’m ready to listen to the first group, read please the column “summer”

Now, I think you are tired, let’s relax and sing the clothing song. You can stand up and dance a little bit.

What do you usually wear? What are you wearing now? (I usually wear a white blouse, a black skirt and shoes. I’m wearing a long black dress and boots now.

Imagine that one of you is having holiday in other country, and your friend wants to join you, he is on his way to the airport, but he doesn’t know what is the weather like there and what he should put on. Make a short phone conversation. Here is the example for you. And there are three countries – Australia, Canada, England.
