Subsidiary aims: grammar: revise the past simple; vocabulary: consolidate lexis for travel; phonology: to focus on intonation; speaking: to give controlled oral practice.

| 5 min | II Checking home task T. asks a question -Why do people travel? Ss give their opinions and complete mind map giving some variants. Then T. divides students into 3 groups and gives envelopes with tasks. First of all, Ss match words with pictures. Then do the task to complete the sentences in Past simple tense.
