Objective: to revise the words for transport and their pronunciation
STEP 1: Ask the pupils to match the words and pictures.
STEP 2: After they have finished, say the first word in the list and ask the pupils to repeat it after you all together and in rows. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the words in the list.

In this Chain Drill the pupils practise the superlatives. Tell them they can use the adjectives in the cloud when they talk about the transport in activity 2.

STEP 1: The pupils read the text silently and think of a title.
STEP 2: Accept all titles, write them on the blackboard.
STEP 3: Ask the pupils to choose the best title.
For many years, in the desert camels were the only kind of transport. Before the age of modern trains, camel trains carried all the things between Central Asia and Europe. People made camel trains with 10,000 to 15,000 animals. Each camel could carry approximately 200 kilos and could travel twenty miles* a day. This kind of transport was so important that people called camels the ‘ships of the desert’.
