Тема: «At the doctors. Illnesses and treatment»

Задачи: - Образовательные –

- Повторить и закрепить пройденный лексический материал

- Совершенствовать коммуникативные навыки учащихся - монологическую и диалогическую речь, навыки чтения, аудирование на материале темы «At the doctors. Illnesses and treatment».

- Развивающие –

- Продолжить развитие мышления, памяти, внимания, логики;

- Развитие восприятия на слух чужой речи;

- Воспитательные –

-- Развитие мотивации к изучению иностранного языка;

- Воспитание познавательной активности уланов

-Показать важность здорового образа жизни

Методы обучения: фронтальная беседа, парная работа опрос; беседа.

Наглядность: презентация, картинки для активизации лексических единиц; карточки с лексикой, индивидуальные карточки.

1. Организационный момент. Рапорт дежурного.

Teacher: Good morning. Sit down. I am very glad to see you. What is the date today? How’s the weather? What is your homework for today? Are you ready for the lesson?

2. Знакомство с целями и задачами урока.

Today at the lesson we’ll speak about illnesses and their treatment, we’ll repeat vocabulary, learn how to give advice, using modal verbs. You will make and reproduce dialogues.

3. Warming-up (речевая разминка)

Answer my questions.

When do people go to the dentist?

When do they drink warm milk and honey?

When do you call a doctor?

When do you take aspirin?

Why do you sometimes go to bed early?

Speech pattern I go to the dentist when I have a toothache ( образец ответа учащихся).

7.Составление диалогов. Pupil B is a doctor. Listen to the patient’s problems, give him(her) advice and fill in the patient’s card.

Well, what’s your problem?

I have got a sore throat, a temperature and a headache. What should I do?

Oh, poor you. Sorry to hear that. Open your mouth, please. It’s red. And what’s your temperature?

37 ,doctor.

I see. If you have got a sore throat you should stay in bed. Drink hot milk with honey. Eat vitamins, onion and garlic, raspberry jam with hot tea. And you will feel better soon.

Thank you, doctor. Good-bye.

Make your own dialogue according to the example. Use the new words and expressions you have learnt.

Pupil B: Oh, I’ve cut my hand. What should I do?

Pupil A : Oh dear. Sorry to hear that. You should put a plaster on it.

— Is it difficult to breathe?

— Oh, yes, it is. It is difficult to swallow and breathe.

— Do you have a high temperature?

— No, I don't. Have you taken any medicine?

— Not yet.

— When did you fall ill?

— I fell ill two days ago.

— Will you open your mouth and show me your tongue?

You are really ill.

— What should I do to get well?

— You should take warm milk with butter or mineral

water and buy a good

medicine for cold. You will also take vitamins.

— When should I visit you again?

— You will visit me in a week.
