“Lucky Chance”

Objectives:1. To develop pupils oral and written communication skills and habits, to improve pronunciation and translation skills and abilities, to motivate selfstudy and group work.

2. to teach children to be attentive, kind and polite, to bring up feelings of friendship and respect to each other.

The procedure of the game: 1. –Good morning, dear quests, our teachers and spectators! You are welcome to the party “Lucky chance”, which is dedicated to the Day of Languages which we celebrate this day every year.

2. – Now we invite you to listen to pupils of the 5-th form. They will recite a poem by a great Kazakh poet K.Myrzaali.

ІІІ. – We congratulate all of you with the Day of Languages. Our mother tongue is Kazakh. But nowadays it is necessary and useful to learn a foreign language, especially English. We learn it at our school, too. English is the language of science, politics and international technology. Speaking English gives you a chance to communicate with people of different nationalities.

IV. – Today the pupils of the 5-th form will show their knowledge of English. We wish them good luck. And now let’s introduce the teams. The pupils take the cards. We have two teams: “Smart” and “Merit

V. – There are 4 rounds in the game. The answer of players will be checked by the jury.

VI. – Here are the task of the 1-st round. You will be given two minutes for doing this task. For each correct answer you get one point.

The 1-st round: “Quiz”.
