ПЛАН-КОНСПЕКТ ОТКРЫТОГО УРОКА



Класс: 6

Тема: «Республика Беларусь и страны изучаемого языка».

Коммуникативная ситуация учебного занятия: «Рождество – время чудес».

Цель урока: способствовать развитию монологической речи на базе текста.

Предполагаемый результат: предполагается, что к окончанию учебного занятия учащиеся смогут пересказать текст от лица героев рассказа и воспроизвести монологическое высказывание на основе прочитанного текста.

Задачи:

  1. образовательная: создание условий для развития у учащихся языковых знаний и речевых умений по теме «Рождество – время чудес. Новый год»;

  2. воспитательная: содействие воспитанию положительной мотивации к изучению иностранного языка;

  3. развивающая: создание условий для развития памяти, внимания, мышления, воображения у учащихся, содействие развитию творческой и познавательной активности учащихся в процессе индивидуальной и коллективной работы.

Языковой материал: Christmas, a stocking, a carol, a Christmas tree, a Christmas card, Santa Claus.

Речевой материал: текст «Christmas story», песня «We Wish You a Merry Christmas».

Оборудование урока: компьютер, аудиопроигрыватель, доска, мел.

Дидактическое оснащение: учебник «English 6. Student’s book», Н.В. Юхнель; рабочая тетрадь «Workbook-1, 6», Е.Г. Наумова; наглядный и раздаточный материал.

Применяемые формы деятельности: фронтальная, индивидуальная, парная, групповая.



ХОД УРОКА



ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННО-МОТИВАЦИОННЫЙ ЭТАП

1) Речевая зарядка. (8 мин)

Задачи этапа: создать атмосферу иноязычного общения, активизировать ранее изученный материал. Сообщить цель, тему, мотивировать.

Good afternoon, pupils! I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. How are you today? Fine? That’s great! Who’s absent? What’s the date today? What day of the week is it today? Good! Look at the blackboard, please! Pay attention to the pictures. What can you see on them? Yes, you are right. A tree, a stocking, a turkey, crackers, an angel, snowflakes are the things which are connected with Christmas. Try to guess the topic of our lesson. You are right. Do you like celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Day? Why? That’s great, because today we’ll speak about Christmas and New Year. The aims for the lesson are:

  • to develop reading skills;

  • to improve oral speech;

  • to develop listening skills;

  • to develop grammar skills;

  • to have fun.

Let’s stick them on the board. At the end of the lesson we’ll check whether we achieved them or not.

Now, pupils, let’s remember Past Simple and Past Continuous Tenses. Open your workbooks at p.81 ex.1. It was some days before Christmas. Santa Claus sent his helpers to find out how people were preparing for Christmas. Look at the pictures. Write what his helpers saw.

Key to ex.1.

When I looked through the window, Nick’s mother was writing cards / Nick’s mum and Rosie were cooking / the children were making cards / they were decorating the tree / Nick’s mum was decorating the house / Rosie was getting presents / Nick’s sister was making presents.

Now I’ll give you the cards. You task is to open the brackets. Use Past Simple or Past Continuous. You have 3 minutes.

1. While my son (to wait) for my call, somebody (to knock) at the door.

2. We just (to talk) about him when he suddenly (to come) in.

3. I (to see) a light in your window as I (to pass) by.

4. He couldn’t speak because he (to die) of laugh.

5. When I (to get) up that morning, the sun (to shine) brightly and the birds (to sing).

Are you ready? Let’s check.

Key to the task.

1. While my son was waiting for my call, somebody knocked at the door.

2. We just talking about him when he suddenly came in.

3. I saw a light in your window as I was passing by.

4. He couldn’t speak because he was dying of laugh.

5. When I got up that morning, the sun was shining brightly and the birds were singing.

2) Фонетическая зарядка. (7 мин)

Задача этапа: совершенствовать слухо-произносительные навыки.

Now look at the blackboard. Here you can see a poem. Listen to the poem and try to guess the name of the man.

While the kids were playing outside,

Someone in red was taking a ride.

Can you guess who the old man was?

It was the kids’ best friend Santa Claus!

Listen and check your guess. Now listen to me and repeat after me altogether. Well-done! Let’s try to read the poem beautifully. Who wants to begin? Ok, Egor, start, please. And now I will erase word by word in it and you should reproduce the whole poem. Nastya, start. Excellent! Well-done! Can you reproduce the poem by heart? Good!



ОСНОВНАЯ ЧАСТЬ УРОКА

1) Предтекстовый этап. (8 мин)

Задачи этапа: снять языковые трудности, ознакомить с темой и понятиями, упоминаемыми в тексте, развить умения восприятия и понимания иноязычной речи на слух. Развить навыки говорения.

Nick’s friends spoke about Christmas. Listen to what they said. Answer the questions. Ex. 2a, p. 104 – 105 (SB).

  1. At Christmas you can hear carols or Christmas songs. People sing them in church. And we have special concerts at schools. Sometimes we gather with friends and sing carols outside other people’s houses and collect money for poor people. I like Silent Night best.

  2. Sure it’s Christmas morning. Because you open your stockings and find there small presents like nuts & fruit, cards & crayons, balloons & sweets there. And then you go down to open the bigger presents under the Christmas tree. What a wonderful time!

  3. It’s different with different people. You can buy lots of nice cards in the shops. But you can make a card yourself. I like to get a lot of cards and I send a lot of them to my friends. And I make some of them myself.

  4. Before going to bed on Christmas Eve all children hang a stocking at the end of the bed or fireplace. We call it a stocking, but it can be a bag that looks like a stocking. My little sister believes that Santa Claus will come in the night and put presents there.

  5. Christmas dinner is special. All the family are at home and Mum cooks turkey with potatoes and vegetables. Then we have Christmas pudding. Sometimes mum puts coins in it, so you must be careful. Oh, yes before the dinner we pull Christmas crackers. Bang! And there is a small toy or a joke. It’s like magic!

Answer the questions in pairs, please. Ex.2a, p.104 – 105 SB.

1. On Christmas morning children can find their presents in special stockings and under the Christmas tree.

2. People usually pull a Christmas cracker before the Christmas dinner.

3. Some people like to make Christmas cards. Others prefer to buy them.

4. Children sing Christmas carols at school, in church and outside people’s houses.

5. Children put up stockings for presents.

Good!

Pupils, do you believe in Santa Claus? Can you imagine Christmas without Christmas tree and presents? What do people eat for Christmas? Do they sing carols?



ФИЗКУЛЬТМИНУТКА (2 мин)

Задача этапа: снять психическое напряжение у учащихся путём переключения на другой вид деятельности.

Now, pupils, let’s make a pause. Stand up, please. Look at the screen, dance and sing the song “If you happy”! Well-done! Sit down, please.



2) Текстовый этап. (7 мин)

Задачи этапа: развить навыки чтения, проверить общее понимание содержания текста.

Now let’s read the Christmas story and explain why Christmas was magic for Henry. Ex. 4a, p. 105 – 106 (SB). Dana, start.

So, why Christmas was magic for Henry?

Key:

Henry found a friend. To find a friend is better than any other good presents for Christmas.

3) Послетекстовый этап. (9 мин)

Задача этапа: изменить ситуативные условия. Учить учащихся пересказывать текст, строить самостоятельно монологические высказывания по теме.

Let’s work in groups (2 groups). Tell the story. Imagine that you are Henry, Elaine, Pat and Maureen. You have 5 minutes to prepare retelling. (Пройти по классу и прослушать пересказы учащихся)

ЗАКЛЮЧИТЕЛЬНАЯ ЧАСТЬ УРОКА
