Урок в 4 классе Тема: “My City” (Санкт-Петербург)
Цель: 1) учить извлекать информацию из текста;
2) учить понимать английскую речь на слух;
3) учить вести диалог на тему «как ориентироваться в городе»
Задачи: 1) учебная: контроль знаний лексики по теме;
2) развивающая: расширение кругозора по теме, умение запрашивать информацию о местоположении и умение ориентироваться в городе.
3) воспитательная: воспитание чувства гордости за родной город, любовь и уважение.
Оснащение урока: магнитофон, карточки, презентация, картинки Санкт-Петербурга
(Используются следующие технологии: проектная методика, технология критического мышления, компьютерные технологии)
Ход урока:
Начало урока. Приветствие. Орг. Момент
Good morning, boys and girls! Sit down, please. Good morning, dear guests. Glad to meet you here in the lesson. Children, are you ready to start our lesson? Today we have unusual lesson as there are only 20 minutes for reading, speaking, writing and listening. And of course we’ll find time for playing and singing. Listen and sing the song “Nice to meet you”.

Children, look at the blackboard. There are some pictures here. Call them, please. What’s this? (Ученики называют достопримечательности Санкт-Петербурга).
Children, what is the theme of the lesson? What do you think ? (Дети сами называют тему). Оf course, «My City». Friends, what do you know about Saint-Petersburg?

P3. There are many places of Interest in it.
P4. The famous sights are the Winter Palace, The Russian Museum, the Palace Square with Alexander Column, the Bronze Horseman, the Admiralty.
P5. Thousands tourists from different countries visit our City every year.
P6. St Petersburg is not Russia’s capital, but it is historic and very beautiful.
P7. St Petersburg has got some very interesting old houses and churches.
P8. There are many parks and gardens. The most famous and beautiful is the Summer Garden.

On Saturday Robert had a free time. His Russian friend wanted to show him the sights of St Petersburg. They started their tour from his hotel. First they went to St Isaac’s Cathedral. Then they walked to Decembrists’ Square. Then they turned right and went along the Neva to the Winter Palace. They saw a long line of tourists in front of the Hermitage Museum. Across the river they saw the Peter and Paul Fortress. After that they went back to the hotel.

St Petersburg is named “Venice of the North” because there are over 90 channels and rivers. In city there are 5 monuments of Peter the Great. Many tourists visit our city to watch “White Nights”. There are more than 300 bridges in St Petersburg. It is 650 km north-west of Moscow and 300 km east of Helsinki.

IX. Game Группа делится на две команды. Одной из них даются карточки с первой половиной слова, а другой со второй. По сигналу учителя дети начинают искать свою пару. Сложив обе половинки, учащиеся записывают получившееся слово: mus-eum, hosp-ital, buil-ding, cin-ema, monu-ment, cap-ital, beau-tiful, fam-ous.
