Learning objectives:
to respect differing points of view; to ask simple questions to get information about some topics; to understand words, to read them correctly, to find answers to simple questions to the text.
Lesson objectives: at the end of lesson the students will be able to identify and use the words connected with the topic (animals); to talk about the animals and their colour.
The procedure of the lesson.
I. Organization moment.
– Hello, children! I’m glad to see you again. Sit down, please.
– How are you? What day is it today? What date is it today?
II. Word quiz.
– Cock, hen, goose, turkey, chicken, duck, eagle, cuckoo, swan, hare, rabbit, wolf, fox, cow, sheep, gazelle, grouse (куропатка), bison, hedgehog, hawk (сокол), owl, goat, pig, horse, camel, frog, snake.
III. Presentation.
– Look, listen and read (ex.1, p.169).
– Remember the difference between two phrases:
She is from China. – Она из Китая (Она живет в Китае).
She comes from China. – Она родом из Китая (Она родилась в Китае).
IV. Practice.
– Read and translate the dialogue (ex.2):
Colin: Who's this?
Omar: He's my friend.
Colin: What's his name?
Omar: Victor.
Colin: Where does he come from?
Omar: He comes from Kazakhstan.

Colin: What's his nationality?
Omar: He's Kazakh.
