Урок английского языка в 5 классе по теме "Environment.(Окружающая среда)". Урок соответствует программе и календарному планированию. На данном уроке ребята развивают навыки чтения, говорения, аудирования и письма. Прослеживается групповая работа.

The theme of the lesson: The Environment.

The aims of the lesson:

a) educational:

to consolidate pupils knowledge concerning the theme

b) breeding:

-to increase pupils interest to English

c) developing

-to develop pupils abilities and skills in monologue speech through asking and answering questions.

-to develop pupils speaking. reading and writing habits.


The type of the lesson: Combined

The visual aids: Presentation, video material, cards with different tasks, vocabulary words

The methods of the lesson: asking and answering, reading and speaking.


Procedure of the lesson

  • How are you?

  • Who is on duty today?

  • Who is absent?

II. Brainstorming. Poem “The Earth.”

a) Reading for understanding.( Slide 1)


The poem. The Earth.









The Earth is a special place for everyone.

The Earth is a special place for animals, birds and plants.

But when people pollute the Earth, Water and Soil I think it’s really dumb!


Come on people think of what you can do.

We can make a difference for the future ahead.

But we need to make a difference or we soon could all be dead!

b) Teacher: Do you like this poem?

What kind of place is the Earth for animals, birds and plants?

Does she ask the people not to pollute the Earth?

Does she ask the people to save the world?


III. Presentation of the new material

1. T: Let’s repeat the words from the vocabularies

The Earth is in danger.

People all over the world think about our planet. They think about air, water, plants and animals on the Earth. They say our planet is in danger. Many people do not know how to protect animal and plant worlds, how to keep the water clean and the air fresh. But they are ready to do it. They try and help nature.

My motherland is Kazakhstan. It is in the centre of Asia. It is country of free people. Kazakhstan is a beautiful land. There are mountains, many rivers: the Yrtysh, the Syrdarya and Amurdarya, and the endless steppes. Kazakhstan is the country where many nations live in peace. There are a lot of cities in Kazakhstan: Astana, Almaty, Pavlodar and others. I love my Kazakhstan.
