Цель урока:

Развитие лексических умений в устной речи и чтении по теме: Обычаи и традиции Шотландии.

Образовательные задачи урока:

1. Развитие умения аудирования с выборочным  пониманием значимой информации;

2. Развитие контекстуальной догадки;

3. Использование тематической лексики в речевых ситуациях;

4. Развитие диалогической речи по теме урока в различных видах диалогов;

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Приобщение обучающихся к иноязычной культуре.

2. Формирование культурно-страноведческой компетенции.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развитие образного мышления;

2. Развитие внимания, памяти

Оснащение урока: CD-диск, карта Шотландии, мультимедийная презентации.

Ход урока.

1. Орг.момент.

Good morning! Let’s begin our lesson and today we will talk about one of the English-speaking countries – The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Our aim today is to learn more about geographical, political situation of The UK, its culture and sightseeing, but first of all look at each other, smile to each other, let us make our lesson not just useful and interesting but also pleasant.

The topic of our lesson is «The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland». Now let`s listen to the anthem.

First of all let`s look at the presentation about the Scotland. Which places of interest would you like to visit? (Презентация о Шотландии).

a) listen to the poem and think of the main idea of the poem

b) read the poem aloud

c) listen to this poem in Russian translated by S. Y. Marshak and say if you like the translation, if Marshak could express feelings and mood of the poet

d) find the English equivalents to the underlined parts of this poem
