Характеристика урока «Село и город».

Уровень образования: начальное общее образование

Целевая аудитория: учащийся

Класс: 4 класс

Предмет: Английский язык

Цель урока: составлять рассказы о городе и сельской местности.

Основные задачи:

1. Развивать умения и навыки устной речи:

- учить рассказывать о России и Великобритании;

- учить рассказывать о своем городе/ селе;

- учить расспрашивать одноклассника о том, что находится недалеко от его дома;

- учить понимать на слух короткий текст, построенный на знакомом языковом материале.

2. Развивать умения и навыки в чтении:

- работать над техникой чтения вслух;

- учить читать про себя и полностью пони мать текст, построенный на знакомом языковом материале.

3. Познакомить с произведением детского фольклора (стихотворением) на английском языке.

4. Повторить с учащимися правило образования множественного числа имен существительных, познакомить с существительными-исключениями sheep, man, woman.

Новые слова и выражения: a field, a cow, a road, a garden, a hill, a bridge, an apple tree, a sheep, a horse, a river, a country, in the country, a capital, a city, people, Great Britain.

   What's the weather like today?
   What can you do if the weather is fine (cold, sunny)?	We can read books, play computer games, walk in the park, fly a kite, etc.
   Are you OK?	Yes, we are.
   Be attentive and active. Let’s start our English lesson.

1. In Great Britain it is usually warm in November, so let’s go to the English farm!

Now open your books, please. Look at the picture at page 33. First we’ll listen to the tape and repeat the words after the speaker. Now try to remember the meaning of the words. Let’s do the exercise on the board. (Ex.1, p.33)

What do you know about Russia?

• Russia is very large in size. It covers more than 17 million square kilometers. It is the largest country in the world. It is situated in Europe and Asia. The capital of Russia is Moscow.

• Moscow is the capital of Russia. It is one of the biggest and most beautiful cities in the world. Moscow is a modern city now. The population of the city is about 9,5 million people. Moscow is a political centre, where the government of our country works.

• Moscow was founded in 1147 by Yuri Dolgoruky. The total area of Moscow is about 900 sq km. We say that Moscow is a port of 5 seas, as the Moscow-Volga Canal links Moscow with the Baltic, White, Caspian and Black seas and the Sea of Azov.

• Moscow is an industrial centre too. There are many factories and plants in it. Moscow is a cultural centre. There are a lot of theaters, museums, institutes, libraries and cinemas in Moscow.

• The Bolshoi Theatre is one of the famous theatres.

• The Kremlin and the Red Square are very famous. The Red Square is the heart of the city.

• London is the capital of Great Britain. It is a very old city. The population of London is about 9 million people.
