St. Claus comes at night from 24^th to 25^th of December. He brings gifts & put in stocking. This holiday is celebrated from the 4^th century. Whole family celebrates this holiday. People share this gladness with birds. Candles mean the victory of light over darkness. Candles are lighted up on the Christmas tree. Every year people choose Christmas hymn. The predecessor of the Christmas tree was a pyramid. In the Middle Ages there were only religious holidays so Christmas was celebrated during 12 days.

At Christmas parents treat to children with a piece of sugar. At the 17^th century it became in form of cane. At the 19^th century it became striped.

At Christmas day children hang up stocking over fireplace. St. Claus fills it at night.

Mistletoe is considered sacred plant. Mistletoe hangs up over the door. It is a symbol of eternal life.

Circle is the symbol of completion of leaving year. People begin to light on candles in 4 week before Christmas. Wreath with candles is disposed in horizontal plane. Also wreath is hanging on a wall or on door.
