Пособие по чтению для уроков английского языка

Начиная работать по УМК “Spotlight” с учащимися 2 класса, я столкнулась с проблемой обучения чтению младших школьников. Согласно замыслу авторов учебника во втором классе учащиеся знакомятся с алфавитом не традиционным способом, от буквы к звуку, а от звука к букве. Для каждого звука дана картинка, иллюстрирующая слово, в котором этот звук встречается. Обучение чтению в УМК происходит по основе метода “whole-word reading”, основанного на обучении звукобуквенным соотношениям.

Этот метод предполагает одновременную работу по обучению лексики и обучению чтению. Сначала учащиеся прослушивают слово и соотносят его с картинкой или предметом, произнося его вслух за учителем или диктором, затем выученное слово соотносится с его буквенным образом. Таким образом, слова запоминаются с опорой на слух и зрение. Снимается проблема объяснения трудностей английского правописания.  В 3 и 4 классе происходит изучение основных правил чтения и вводится транскрипция.

Опыт работы некоторых учителей доказывает эффективность данного подхода в обучении чтению. Однако мой собственный опыт работы с учащимися младших классов позволил мне выработать определённый подход к вопросу обучения чтению. Перед собой я ставлю следующую задачу: школьники должны научиться читать быстро и не потерять при этом интереса к изучению иностранного языка. Для этого всегда нужно помнить, что игра – самый наглядный элемент урока, так как возраст младших школьников соответствует «состыковке» двух психологических доминант – игровой и учебной деятельности. В игре, продуктом которой является наслаждение, а конечным результатом – развитие определённых способностей, выявляется потребность ребёнка в саморазвитии. Когда основные правила чтения поняты школьниками, возникает необходимость в выполнении упражнений по чтению, которых в учебнике для 2 класса явно не достаточно. В процессе обучения чтению я стараюсь не использовать диалоги учебника в качестве упражнения по чтению, так как они достаточно сложные для начинающих читать школьников. Чтобы обеспечить сюжетную линию учебника, мы слушаем запись диалога и рассказываем о происходящих событиях на родном языке.

Для решения  проблемы тренировки чтения я использую методическое пособие для обучения чтению учащихся 2 классов, составленное мною с учётом изученных лексических единиц. В сборник вошли упражнения для запоминания букв и звуков, правила чтения гласных в 4 типах слога и  основных буквосочетаний, простые рифмовки и стишки, а также небольшие тексты на изученные темы. Обучение чтению происходит от слова к словосочетанию, а затем к предложению. Я постаралась включить в пособие как изученные ранее лексические единицы, как и новые слова, в качестве «тренажёра по чтению». Пособие используется на каждом уроке, а также в качестве домашнего задания.
