Sports (AE0AAD)

Task 3. You are going to give a talk about sports. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10–12 sentences). Remember to say:

• why a lot of young people do sports nowadays;

• what sports clubs and teams there are in your school;

• what you do to keep fit;  

• what your attitude to doing sports activities is.

You have to talk continuously.

I’m going to give a talk about sports. A lot of young people do different sports nowadays. They want to stay healthy, strong and be in good fit. Besides, doing sports is in fashion now.

For example in our school we have a basketball team which takes part in different sports competitions. We also can attend such sports clubs as a football club, a volleyball club or a table tennis club. Students can attend these clubs three times a week. They learn to play sports games and take part in the competitions.

As for me, I try to do morning exercises every day, eat healthy food and play volleyball five days a week. I also try to keep regular hours. It’s very important for keeping fit in my opinion.

I think everybody should do sports at least twice a week. It’s necessary for their health condition and a successful future life.
