Введение в тему урока.
– Today we start Unit 7 which has a title What’s your line? (area of interest) Look at the picture. СЛАЙД 2 – 1)What can you see here? (People of different professions)
2) What professions do you know? (ответы учащихся)
3) How many professions are there in the world? (In the world there are more than 50 thousand professions.)
4) What two main criteria should be taken into account when choosing a profession? (personal qualities and the so-called professional suitability) (личностные качества и так называемая профпригодность)
СЛАЙД 3 – Look at these professions and say what suffixes we most often use to form nouns meaning people of different professions. (-er, -ist, -ian)

СЛАЙД 4 - The theme of our today’s lesson is A Job for Life. How do you understand this expression? How can you define the word JOB? (The job is something you have to do to support yourself.) And here is how the Cambridge Business English Dictionary defines «a job for life»: It is a job that you can stay in all your working life.
