Описание разработки

Цель урока: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «A Healthy Way of Life».

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

 - совершенствовать умения и навыки практического владения английским языком;

 - обобщить лексический материал по теме «Health» и изучить новый в игровой форме;

 - обучать навыкам работы в мультимедийной среде;

 - расширять кругозор учащихся по выбранной теме;

Познавательные:

 - познакомить учащихся с рекомендациями по ЗОЖ.

Развивающие:

 - развивать коммуникативные умения и навыки говорения, аудирования по теме;

 - развивать творческие способности учащихся;

 - развивать память, внимание и мышление;

 - развивать умения высказывать свое мнение и делать выводы;

 - развивать навыки взаимопонимания и сотрудничества.

Воспитательные:

 - воспитывать привычку к здоровому образу жизни:

 - воспитывать умения внимательно слушать и уважать мнения одноклассников;

 - стимулировать интерес к изучению английского языка, вовлекая их в коллективную творческую деятельность.

Форма урока: урок - викторина.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, аудиозапись, раздаточный материал (карточки с кроссвордом, карточки «Health Code», «A Magic Flower»), докторский халат и принадлежности, призы.

PROCEDURE

Warming up. Brainstorming.

T. Today our meeting is devoted to a very important problem. As you know some people are healthy, some people are unhealthy. Health is the most precious thing in our life. We can’t buy health, but we can do a lot to stay fit. In order to be healthy we should follow some special rules. The series of pictures on the screen will help you to guess what we are going to discuss today.

What can you see in the first picture?

What can you see in the second picture?

What can you see in the third picture?

Now look at all these pictures at once. What do they represent? Can you guess what we are going to speak about?

P. I think we are going to speak about health.

T. Right you are. So today we are going to talk about our health, about what we should do to be healthy.

 Competition

And let’s have a competition. So you should divide into 4 teams. Choose the name of your teams, please. Our competition will consist of different contests. For each contest your team will get some points. The team that gets more points at the end of the competition wins. Are the rules clear to you? I wish you success and good luck.

T. Our doctor wants to ask you some questions about health.

When should people get up and go to bed? (1)

How many times a day should people clean their teeth? (2)

What should people do before eating? (1)

What healthy food should people eat? (2)

Whom should people consult to prevent an illness? (1)

What should people do if they have a cold? (2)

What should people do if they have a toothache? (1)

What should people do if they can’t sleep? (2)

3. Jumbled Proverbs about health.

Do you know any proverbs about health? I have a very unusual competition for you. T. It is called “Jumbled Proverbs”. Each team will get the words for two proverbs about health. And you must put the words in a logical order. Which team will be the first?

Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

Health is better than wealth.

You are what you eat.

Eat to live, not live to eat.

A sound mind in a sound body.

Кто рано ложится и рано встает, здоровье, богатство и ум наживет. Кто рано встает, тому Бог подает.

Кто яблоко в день съедает, у того доктор не бывает.

Здоровье дороже денег.

Скажи мне, что ты ешь, и я скажу, кто ты.

Урок-викторина разработан для недели английского языка.


Тема урока: “A Healthy Way of Life”.

Цель урока: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «A Healthy Way of Life».

D. Now I will give each team a leafsheet with a list of recommendations which we should follow or shouldn’t follow to be healthy. Your task is to make Health Code. The first team will discuss and tell us what we should do to be healthy and the second team will tell us what we shouldn’t do.

5.  It is white. It is oval. It is good to eat for breakfast. It comes from a hen. …egg

6.  It is a drink. It is white. Children like to drink it. It comes from a cow. …milk



6. Find the words: fit, ill, health, worry, food, snack, energy, sleep, nutrition - питание, vitamins, sport, exercise

THE TAPESCRIPT

I never used to worry about my health until recently. When I was a kid, I did loads of exercise. Even in my twenties and thirties I was very fit and never ill. I have been lucky all my life – always in the best of health. I rarely get even a cold. I suppose time catches up with you. Now I seem to be getting lots of little aches and pains. I should go to the doctor for a health check, but I’m too busy. The older you get, the more you worry about your health. One good thing is that I’m eating more healthily now than ever before. I no longer have fast food and midnight snacks. I also sleep a lot more. I’ve read that getting seven or eight hours sleep every night is one of the best things you can do for your health.

8. A magic flower.

We have learned much about health, healthy food and healthy way of life. And in the conclusion I think the magic flower will help us to see what have you really learned . I will give each of you a colored petal and you will fill in it writing what you do to keep fit. And then you’ll come up to the blackboard and fix your petal round the centre.

T. I’m glad to see that our magic flower is so beautiful.

9. Conclusion.

T. Our lesson has come to an end. I see that you know much about the main rules of keeping fit. And I hope that you will continue to take care of your health. Thank you for your work.
