T: Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today we shall read, speak as usual. We shall also write. What about? You`ll tell me yourselves a bit later.

So, today we’ll talk about the environmental problems. I’m glad to see you at our ecological conference

The aim of our conference is to learn to describe the ecological problems and ways of their solving. The term "ecology" was introduced into the scientific language and the life of our society many years ago. Everybody knows that ecology depends on our humane attitude towards nature and it’s no secret that nowadays the world ecological situation is difficult.

The degree of pollution of water, air and soil increases year after year and considered to be a serious international problem.

Nowadays the global situation in ecology is very dangerous. Many people all over the world are worried about it.

Look at the plan of the conference:

1. Listen to the performance of our students

3. Answer of the questions

- What does the word environment mean? P:It means ocean, plants, rivers, forests.

- What can we do for our planet?

P: We think that we must plant more trees and flowers in our district

- What do you think in danger today?

Pupil: the climate, the animals, the atmosphere

- What are the most serious ecological problems today?

Pupil: water, air, land pollution

4. T. Now it’s time to listen to your projects. You were divided into five groups. Your task was to find the information and made reports (Учащиеся рассказывают о природе, о том, как они могут помочь нашей планете).

7. T. Let’s see presentation, prepared by our conference participants. (Для этого учащиеся подготовили презентацию. Можно подготовить презентацию по выбору, главное, чтобы там отражались проблемы данного города, района, местности).

About our town

Klin is an ancient town on the banks of the river Sestra. It is situated in the midst of forests. The history of Klin is bound up with the history of Russia. Now it is a nice town. But the environmental problems have grown.

The aim of our conference is to learn to describe the ecological problems and ways of their solving

• For it we must revise the words, name ecological problem, repeat the words
• Recycle
• Pollution
• Take care of
• Radiation

Green fields

• My name is Sergey. I do want to save the world. We want to build “Green cities” If we don’t change the way we live in, we’ll destroy this planet in the next hundred years. Green cities are the answer to this problem.

PROBLEMS OF KLIN

My name is Alexander. I live in Klin. It’s a beautiful town, but our river is very dirty, and we don’t have a normal beach because some of people pollute this place. They throw litter everywhere. I don’t know, what we can do.

I think local government can decide this problem. Maybe they can put more bins, to finish pollute our river, to clean river more than now. Some of my friends pollute nature, but I try to see for them. I think, if we clean around us, our town may be cleaner. Maybe it’s our mission to keep Klin cleaner than now.

Nature protection

• 2013 declared the year of Russia in Conservation. The Government has approved the program “ Environment” for the period 2020. The first recycling plants will be built in Klin.
• What pollutes water lakes, rivers, seas, oceans, many territories and atmosphere? We know that polluted air, land and water are harmful to plants, animals and people. What are the names of the environments problems of today? Air pollutions, destructions of nature resources.

Clean streets

• Problem : My name is Sergey and I live in wonderful Moscow suburb. Our town used to be very clean and green. We have a picturesque forests that used to be home for many birds and animals. But after McDonalds have been opened in our town and people have become more careless. The streets and the left after them becoming more and more polluted

We are worried that our river Sestra is polluted.

The pollution may kill the fish. There are a lot of litter in it. We can’t swim in the river because the water is dirty. We want to help to keep all water clean. We also think that we must plant more trees in our district. We are sure that you will to help ecological problems in our place.
