Конспект и презентация к уроку по английскому языку "How different the world is!"

Цели:

Учить учащихся монологическим и диалогическим высказываниям по географии России, США, Великобритании и национальным чертам характеров народов этих стран.

Формировать навыки аудирования, прослушивая национальные гимны США и Великобритании.

Развивать навыки чтения и проведения дискуссии на основе прочитанного текста.

Воспитывать чувство патриотизма, коллективизма, активности.

Оборудование: карты, флаги, рисунки, схемы, проекты стран, сувениры, национальные флаги, куклы, аудиозаписи национальных песен и страноведческий видеоматериал.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

Dear friends! Welcome to our lesson “ How different the world is!” It's special because it's held in a form of an international meeting. We have groups for presentation their countries. They brought their projects, pictures, maps, national music, poems, even humour to demonstrate you. So, we want to show the value, beauty and peculiarities of different nations. The aspect we'll begin with is a geographical position and we are going to learn much about Russia.

2. Развитие монологичеcкой речи.

Выступает первая группа учащихся, представляющaя Россию. Музыкальное сопровождение Д. Хворостовский и П. И. Чайковский. Пособия: карты, рисунки, фото, национальный флаг, кукла, костюм и т. д.

Ученик: Listen and enjoy yourself. It is dawn. The first appearance of day light in the morning. Everything is coming out to meet the Sun light. The meadows, forests, rivers, lakes are feeling happiness at this moment. Flowers, birds, animals and people are filling themselves with a great power of the Sun. The flowers are showing their colours: yellow, red, orange, violet, white, pink. The birds are singing their wonderful songs. Everybody is thankful to the Sun.

Ученик: And this is a foreigner's talk about Russia: when the Russians speak about the North, they don't mean St. Petersburg though it is farther north than the north of Canada or Scotland. They mean Archangelsk and Murmansk where we can get in spring or in summer because of polar night. At a lower latitude Lake Onega and the Island of Kizhi with the midnight sun, a lot of wild flowers show you the gentler side of the Russian north.

Ученик: For most Russians the South is the Caucasus with its snowcapped mountains and subtropical coasts. They go for holidays to the Black Sea during the hot summer and the “velvet” autumn.

Ученик: The “Far East” is the coast along the Pacific ocean, facing Alaska in the Far North and Japan in the subtropical South and including the large island of Sakhalin. Forests, mountains, lakes and rivers known as Siberia lie inland. Siberia is rich in oil, minerals, gold and diamonds. Baikal is the world's deepest lake which contains one fifth of all fresh water on the Earth.

Ученик: This is Central Russia. The Ural Mountains are the natural divide between Europe and Asia. The heart land of Russia is Golden Ring: Novgorod, Smolensk, Yaroslavl, Suzdal and Kursk with their “Kremlins” and cathedrals.

Учитель: Thank you for this unusual romantic review of our country. We are going to listen to our second group about the USA.

Ученик: Oh, beautiful for spacious skies,
