Good morning, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you, sit down, please.

Today we’ll have unusual lesson. We’ve got a game show. We’ve got 2 teams. Before we start let’s meet our teams.

- The first team. Your captain and your name.

- The second team. Your captain and your name.

- Ok, thank you. We are glad to meet you. On the previous lessons we spoke about celebrities, learnt the types of films, the Past Simple and Present Perfect, knew how to compare objects. Today we’ll check up your knowledge. And for each right answer you will get star.

- But at first let’s speak about the theme of our game. Look at the board, please. There is a word Celebrities. How do you think, where do the celebrities like to be in?

- Yes, you are quite right. And the theme of our game is “In the spotlight”.

• Now the 1^st task.

• How can you describe CELEBRITIES? What adjectives do you use to tell about CELEBRITIES? You should think and name more adjectives as possible. I’ll give you 2 minutes.

• Are you ready? Let’s check up. One pupil from each team come to the blackboard, say and write down your adjectives.

• Well done. Let’s continue. The 2^nd task.

• Now we’ll remember the types of films.

• But at first, tell me, please, what types of films do you like watching?

• Thanks. Now look at the board. I’ll show you some fragments of films and you should write the types of this films on your cards № 1 (Учитель показывает отрывки из фильмов)

• Well done. Let’s continue. The 3^rd task. Look at the photo!

-What is she famous for? Is she successful?

-Let’s find out more interesting facts about this celebrity. Look at the cards №2 and read the statements.

• Time is up. Let’s check up your choice. Swap your answers. The right answers are on the board.

На доске написано слово «Звезды» Каждая команда придумывает как можно больше прилагательных.

Из каждой команды выходит по одному ученику проговаривают и пишут прилагательные

Устные ответы учеников из команд.

Команды определяют жанры фильмов, затем проверяют вместе

Дети отвечают на вопросы.

На столе каждой команды есть карточка с заданием. Команды прослушивают аудиозапись 2 раза и выполняют задание.

Меняются карточками и проверяют друг у друга. За каждый правильный ответ получают звезду.

- Well done. The next 4^th task. It’s time for grammar. Let’s remember the Past Simple and Present Perfect. You have cards № 3 with word search. You should find time expressions of the past simple and present perfect. You have 2 minutes.

- Time is up. Swap your cards and check it up. The right answers are on the board.

- What should we do to get comparative and superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs?

- Yes, you are right! The 5^th task. Look at the board. You should choose the correct word. The 1^st team let’s begin with you.

На листочках с кроссвордами каждая команда ищет обстоятельства времени.

Меняются кроссвордами и проверяют, на слайде правильные ответы

We add – er or more in comparative forms.

We add article the and –est, or the + most in superlative forms.

Каждая команда отвечает по очереди. За каждый правильный ответ – звезда.

4) Этап включения изученного в систему знаний.

- Thank you. The next 6^th task. You have cards № 4. There are 4 rules on it. You should choose the rules for the use of the Past Simple and Present Perfect. You’ll get 1 points for each right answer. You have 2 minutes for this task.

- Now time is over. And now check your answers!

Один игрок из каждой команды по очереди читает правило и называет свой ответ. Затем учитель на слайде показывает правильный ответ и дает по 1 звезде команде которая дала правильный ответ.

5) Этап рефлексии учебной деятельности

- Good job! boys and girls! Tell me, please. Would you like to be famous? Would you like to be successful?

- I think that everybody of us must be successful!

That’s why I offer each team to make the poster. ”5 steps to be successful”. It will be your last 7^th task.

You have cards №5 with ideas. These ideas can help you.

- Let's watch and read poster.

Thanks a lot. Our game is come to the end. Let’s count stars of each team and find the winners.
