Цель урока:

• обучение аудированию с целью совершенствования умения передать содержание прослушанного текста (в письменной форме и иллюстрации к нему).

Задачи урока:

• Учебные:

• обучение восприятия на слух сюжетного текста;

• активизация в речи изученных лексических единиц и речевых образцов.

• Развивающие:

• развитие внимания;

• развитие навыков аудирования, способности к языковой догадке;

• развитие творческого, ассоциативного мышления, активности, интереса к изучаемой теме.

• Воспитательные:

• формирование навыков аудирования.

• формирование системы нравственных оценок учащихся;

• формирование доброжелательных отношений, любви к животным.

1. Warming – up activity:

1. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you!

Pupils: I’m glad to see you too!

Teacher: How are you?

Pupils: I’m fine, thank you.  And what about you?

Teacher:  I’m fine too. Sit down, please.

I hope you are ready to work hard at the lesson.   Today we’ll continue to talk about pets and animals. We’ll also listen to а song and a story about pets. I believe the lesson will be interesting for you and you’ll enjoy it.

1. Активизация лексики по теме “Animals”.

Teacher: First of all let`s remember all animals you know. So, what pets and animals do you know? And what pets do you have at home? How do you take care of them?

Pupil 1 - a cat

Pupil 2 – a dog

Pupil 3 – an elephant…

Teacher: Let’s recall some more words to this topic. Listen and repeat:

Ears, eyes, nose, paws, beak, wings, feathers, fur, tail, neck, legs, trunk, tusks.

Take care of, feed (give food to …), take for a walk, play with …., teach …

Does tricks, answers to his/her name, likes to …, eats/drinks …

Pupil 4 – I have a cat at home. His name is Kuzya. I wash him, feed and play…

Teacher: Please, guess the riddles and match your answer with the picture on the blackboard, (under the letters a, b, c, d, e, g, h).

There is one extra picture. Listen to the riddles.

1. This animal lives in the forest. It’s neither big nor small. It likes to eat carrots and it is afraid of a fox and a wolf. This animal runs very fast. (A hare)

2. This animal is very big. It is grey and sometimes white. It has a trunk. It lives in India and Africa. It likes to eat leaves and grass. (An elephant)

3. It lives at home or in the street. It is a man’s friend. It can run, but it can’t fly and climb. It is very clever and friendly. (A dog)

4. This animals lives in the river or near the water. It is green. It can jump and swim, but it can neither run nor climb. (A frog)

5. This animal is red and sly. It likes hens, cocks, hares and ducks. It lives in the forest. (A fox)

6. It is grey. It can run and jump. It is very small. It likes bread and cheese. It lives in the house and in the fields. (A mouse)

Teacher: Fill in the table. (The pupils do this exercise in their cards; one pupil does it on the blackboard).

Teacher: I see you are a bit tired. Let`s relax. Listen to a song and do some physical exercises.

Teacher: It’s a very important part of our lesson today. Before listening to the story I want you to remember the difficult words you can meet in the story. (The teacher explains the meaning of words; the students repeat the words after the teacher).

Teacher: Now listen to the story and say what the text is about. This is to give you practice in listening for the general idea.

Teacher: Let’s listen to the story again. You should be careful this time. Then you will do a test, answer the questions:

1. What pets has Boris got?

2. How often does he clean the cage?

3. What does his tortoise like eating?

4. What does she do in winter?

5. What happens when Boris calls his tortoise?

My name is Boris. I have got a tortoise. My tortoise likes eating lettuce and cabbage. She also likes cucumbers. She likes a bath in hot weather. In October she gets sleepy, so I put her in a big box-cage and keep it in a warm room. I clean the cage every day. She sleeps all winter and wakes up in March. The tortoise knows her name. She puts out her head when I call her. She likes me stroking her head.
