Цели и задачи урока:

Практические:

-совершенствовать навыки аудирования и чтения с полным пониманием услышанного и прочитанного;

Развивающие:

-развивать навыки поискового чтения; развивать навыки говорения с использованием новой лексики

Воспитательные:

-воспитывать чувства дружбы и уважительного отношения к близким людям.

Оборудование: учебник английского языка для 10 класса О.А.Афанасьевой, И.В.Михеевой, доска, компьютер, иллюстрации.

Ход урока.

I. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good morning, students! I am very glad to see you and hope that you are ready for the lesson Look at the board, please.

Do you know him? What’s his name? Have you ever read his works? 

Today we’re going to speak about the greatest Russian writer A.P.Chekhov, read the extract his novel “The Darling” and discuss it.

2.Warming-up.

And now, say as quickly as you can.

So, think of three questions you would like to ask about Chekhov. Then , read the biography and see if you can answer them.
