Before we talk about the musicians and the musical instruments they play, let’s talk about the types of instruments.

There are four types of musical instruments:

The 1^st type is “Percussion instruments”.

The translation is “ударные инструменты”.

The 2^nd type is “Wind instruments”.

The translation is “духовые инструменты”.

The 3^rd type is “String instruments”.

The translation is “струнные инструменты”.

And

The 4^th type is “Electronic instruments”.

The translation is “электронные инструменты”.

First, let’s talk about the percussion instruments.

The percussion instruments are the ones which sounds are produced when they are struck or beaten by the hand or other instrument.

The examples of percussion instruments are:

Drums

Xylophone

Tambourine

Cymbal

And so on.

Now let’s talk about the wind instruments.

The wind instruments produce sounds through the resonance of the wind inside the instrument.

The examples of wind instruments are:

Flute

Saxophone

Tuba

Trumpet

And so on.

Now we will tell you about the string instruments.

The string instruments produce sounds through the vibration of strings.

The examples of string instruments are:

Guitar

Violin

Cello

Harp

And so on.

And now let’s talk about the electronic instruments.

The electronic instruments produce sounds using electrical components. These sounds can be heard through loudspeakers. 

The examples of electronic instruments are:

Synthesizer

Keyboard

Sampler

Keytar

And so on.
