People start celebrating New Year in the evening on the 31^st of December and finish in the morning on the 1^st of January.

How do people prepare for New Year’s celebrations?

To prepare for New Year’s celebrations, people usually:

·      buy a beautiful New Year tree in the store and decorate it;

·      decorate the house with lights;

·      send cards to their friends and relatives;

·      buy presents;

·      cook yummy food;

·      put beautiful clothes on.

What things can people do at New Year?

At New Year people can do lots of different things. They can:

Then you can ask Father Frost nicely for the things on your list.

And don’t forget to thank Father Frost. Write something like:

Thank you for all the presents that you gave me last year! Please say hello to Snowmaiden.

And at the end of your letter write something like:

With love

After that you need to put your letter into an envelope and sign it. Write the following words:
