Now, everyone, let’s talk about the demonstrative pronouns “this” and “these”.

We use the demonstrative pronouns “this” and “these” to talk about people or things that are close to the speaker.

The difference between these two words is that we use “this” with singular nouns and we use “these” with plural nouns.

The demonstrative pronoun “this” is translated as:

Этот, это, эта

The demonstrative pronoun “these” is translated as:

Эти

Look at the examples:

This is my new bicycle.

Or

These flowers are beautiful.

Now, boys and girls, let’s talk about the demonstrative pronouns “that” and “those”.

We use the demonstrative pronouns “that” and “those” to talk about people or things that are far away from the speaker.

The difference between these two words is that we use “that” with singular nouns and we use “those” with plural nouns.

The demonstrative pronoun “that” is translated as:
