Цели занятия:

Развивающая:

1. Углубить знания обучающихся о культуре и истории Великобритании

  2. Активизировать лексико - грамматический материал по теме

  3. Способствовать расширению общего и страноведческого кругозора

  4. Развивать умение обучающихся логично и последовательно излагать свои  мысли на иностранном языке.

Обучающая:

  1. Анализировать, обобщать, самостоятельно строить речевое действие

  2. Развитие навыков аудирования

 Воспитательная:

 1. Воспитывать культуру речи, интерес и уважение к культуре, истории,  традициям страны изучаемого языка

 2. Способствовать развитию социокультурной компетенции

Карта Соединенного Королевства Великобритании и Северной Ирландии, флаги стран СК, аудиозапись тематического текста, для аудирования, виды Лондона, раздаточный материал для контроля понимания текстов, викторина, видеофильм, сервировка стола для составления диалогов «Английская кухня». Материал для группы поддержки, звезды - очки.

Начало мероприятия

Teacher: Dear boys and girls! Dear our quests, . I am very qlad to see you at out lesson today, Because we have an unusual lesson – a competiton. There are 2 teams at the lesson. They will show us their knowledge of the UK because our lesson is devoted to this country. We , ll speak about the sights, the capital of the country, some poets and interesting facts, We , ll have several tasks at the lesson. Some of them were prepared by you at home but most of them were not prepared. I hope our competition will be fun. I have a lot of red and blue stars here. For an excellent answer you will get a red star. For a good answer you will get a blue star. At the end of the competition you, ll count all the stars you have received. The winner will be the team with the biggest number of the red stars.

Let, s start our competition and introduce our teams to each other.

This text is about London. London is the capital of Scotland. It is one of the oldest and largest cities of the world. They say that London is one thousand years old. London has suffered many misfortunes. In the 5th century Saxons and later Danes invaded the British shores and ruined the city. In 1665 the. Great War broke out Many people died. Then in the winter of 1666 the Great Fire broke out. Most of the city was destroyed.

  Now London is a big political, industrial and cultural centre. More than 1 million people live there. London is situated on the river Clyde. The river connects the capital with the sea London is divided into two parts. They are the City, the West End, the East End and Westminster The West End is the richest part of the city with many beautiful shops, hotels, bars and restaurants. The East End is the place where the working people live. Westminster is the heart of business and commercial life. The City is the political centre.

He died in poverty at the age of 37 His poems are known and loved by people all over the world.

He died in the 17th century. His plays are popular now and million of people admire them.

At the age of six he went to school, he read a lot. At the age of 15 he began to write poems. He wrote about people, about every day things.

He wrote a lot of poetry. His poems have been published in many languages. They are well known among people.

He took part in making a book of old Scottish folk-songs, writing words for many melodies.



7 Teacher: The teams have prepared their favourite poems by some British poets both in

English and in Russian. Let,s listen to them.

9 Teacher: When we speak about English people and their traditions we must not forget about English meals. The usual meals in England are breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner.



The traditional English breakfast is a full meal. They have for breakfast a plateful of cornflakes with milk and sugar and a plateful of porriage. Then comes becon and egg or sausage or ham. Lunch is between half past 12 andhalf past 1 For lunch they have ham, fried potatoes, salad, some pudding, fruit. The English people have “high tea” at 5 o,clock. Tea is the favourite beverage in England. It is very strong and mostly drunk with milk or cream and suggar. Dinner is at 7 o,clock. It begins with some soup, then fish, roast chicken, potatoes and dessert.

Now every team has prepared a dialogue about English meals.

11 Просмотр видеофильма «Стоунхендж»

Teacher В Британии есть странные места и с ними связаны странные люди. Это друиды – члены древнего священного союза. Они использовали Стоунхендж, как календарь. Летний день 24 июня – самый длинный день в году. В этот день в Стоунхендже можно наблюдать очень сранный обычай. Стоунхендж – один из самых больших каменных кругов в Европе, высотой 10 и 12 метров. Самая первая часть Стоунхенджа – 5000 лет. Но что такое Стоунхендж? Священное место? Рынок? Или вид календаря? В действительности Друиды использовали его, как календарь. Они начали пользоваться им – 2000лет назад. Солнце и камни Стоунхенджа давали жрецам узнать месяц и начало сезона. Утро 24 июня, когда солнце освещает знаменитый камень Хил Стоун – самый важный момент года для Друидов. Сегодня в Британии так же есть Друиды и каждый июнь многие из них посещают Стоунхендж. Это странный, древний, редкий, но сохранившийся обычай.
