Цель:

1. Узнать основные значения одиннадцати лексических единиц по теме

2. Вспомнить грамматическую тему Past Simple

2. Применить Past Simple и изученные слова при составлении таблицы

3. Анализировать текст для выявления употребления языковых единиц в их значении.

Ожидаемый результат:

Все учащиеся знают новые слова и Past Simple

Большинство смогут применить 6-7 новых слов при выполнении заданий

Некоторые смогут сравнивать информацию и сопоставлять данные (сравнить 2 города и сказать 5 предложений)

Astana

Astana is the capital of Kazakhstan. It lies on the river Esil. It has a population of over eight hundred thousand people. Astana is famous for its modern buildings – Baiterek, Circus, Duman. There are many cars on the streets. That’s why city is noisy and crowded. Astana is not a centre for tourism, but it’s cultural and business centre. It has a lot of cinemas, theatres, and museums. Astana has a problem with traffic. Streets of Astana are wide.

London

London is the capital of England. It lies on the river Thames. It has a population of over 8, 6 million people. It’s an old city. London is famous for its historic buildings – St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben. London has problem with traffic and pollution. There are too much cars on the streets. London is a centre for business and for tourism. There are a lot of cinemas, theatres and museums. Streets of London are not very wide.
