Викторина: " знатоки англоговорящих стран"

Содержание разработки.

Внеурочная деятельность по английскому языку традиционно основана на трёх формах: индивидуальная, групповая и массовая работа (выступления, спектакли, утренники и пр.). Ведущей формой организации занятий является групповая работа. Во время занятий осуществляется индивидуальный и дифференцированный подход к детям. Большой интерес учащие прявляют к всякого рода внеклассным мероприятиям: викторинам, конкурсам, КВН и т.д.
Занимаясь этими видами деятельности, учащиеся закрепляют знания, полученные на уроках, расширяют кругозор, развивают языковую, коммуникативную компетенции.
Цели:

• Практические:

  • развитие навыков устной речи и чтения;

  • повышение интереса к изучению иностранного языка;

  • показ возможности и перспективы, которые открывает перед человеком владение иностранным языком.

• Воспитательные:

  • воспитание чувства коллективизма;

  • развитие умения работать в коллективе, уважать мнение товарищей и признавать свои ошибки.

• Образовательные: расширение кругозора.

Оборудование:  компьютер, проектор, раздаточный материал для проведения конкурсов ,компьютерная презентация.

Для участия в виторине приглашаются учащиеся 5-11 классов. Из числа учащихся формируются 2 команды, остальные выступают в качестве болельщиков каждой из команд.

За победу в каждом туре команде начисляется балл, так же балл присваивается за правильный ответ на вопрос. Члены жюри( 2 учителя) следят за ходом викторины, подсчитывают баллы и объявляют победителя.

Ход мероприятия:

Учитель: Hello my dear pupils and our guests. Today we play the queiz "Знатоки англоговорящих стран". We have 2 teams. Please present your emblem and moto! (команды представляются)

Well, we will speak about The USA and THE UK! You should be ready answear my questions,recognise the names of the wellknown sightseeings,and check your vocabular! For every right answer the team will get one point.

The First round.

1. Определите описание, какой страны дано и вставьте предложение в таблицу.

A. It is one of the largest countries in the world.

B. The country consists of 4 parts.

C. The country is an island state.

D. The country got independence in 1776.

E. The head of the country is the Queen.

F. The country is washed by 3 oceans: the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean.

G. The country consists of fifty states.

H. The population of the country is about sixty million people.

I. The capital of this country was founded more than two thousand years ago by Romans.

J. The longest river of this country is the Mississippi.

Questions about geografy:

1.How many islands the UK consists of?(more than 800)

2.How many states the USA consists of?( 50)

3.What is the highest mountin in the UK? Where is it located? (THE Ben Nevis 1344)

4. What is the longest river in the USA?( the Missisipy)

Make up sa many words as possible: STONEHENGE WASHINGTON

The third round.

Now your task is to translate the sentances:
