Воспитательные цели: воспитание интереса к изучению иностранного языка, желание узнавать что-то новое в иностранном языке.

Образовательные цели: Знакомство с новыми иностранными терминами по теме: «Снятие мерок».

Развивающие цели: Развитие умения работать в паре а также коммуникативных умений и навыков в процессе общения на иностранном языке.

Практические цели:

1.Развитие диалогической цели.

2.Развитие умения аудировать.

3.Развитие навыков монологической речи.

Задачи:

1. Научить использовать Настоящее простое время в монологическом высказывании и в диалогах по ситуации.

2. Активизация лексических единиц и фраз по теме: «Снятие мерок»

3. Научить учащихся понимать содержание услышанного.

4. Научить учащихся искать необходимую информацию в прочитанном тексте.

Taking measurements

Neck measurement - neck circumference -(измерение окружности шеи)

--Place the tape around the neck and measure round. So make sure it’s comfortable, so it’s not too tight when you take this measurement.

Bust measurement –bust circumference -(измерение окружности груди)

--Wrap the tape measure around the highest point of the bust. Make sure you keep it horizontal and it’s not too tight.

Upper bust measurement –upper bust circumference – (измерение окружности груди)

--Place the tape measure around the upper part of the bust.

Natural waist measurement –waist circumference –(окружность естественной талии)

--Your natural waist is the smallest part of your waist, usually just above your belly button.

So place the tape measure around the smallest part of the waist.

Hip measurement – hip circumference – ( окружность бедер)

--Wrap the tape measure around the widest point of the hips.

Shoulder measurement (измерение ширины плеча)

--Place the tape measure on the highest points of one side of the shoulder all the way across to the highest point of the other side of the shoulder.

--Place the tape from the base of the neck to the center of the bust.

I have too many clothes. I have many clothes I’ve only worn once. Sometimes I even find something at the back of a drawer that I never even wore. I bought it, put it away, and then forgot about it. I’m sure I don’t need so many clothes. I don’t think anyone really needs 11 pairs of jeans and 32 sweaters. I won’t tell you how many pairs of shoes I’ve got. That’s way too embarrassing. The simple truth is I love clothes and I love shopping. Maybe I have a problem. I’m sure I’d be a lot richer if I didn’t buy so many clothes. I like brands, so the clothes I buy are quite expensive. One day I’m going to have a big clearout. I’ll take all the clothes I no longer wear and give them to charity.

Read the text about the rules of taking measurements and share your personal opinion about the ways you take measurements yourselves. Do you always follow these rules or are there any specific points in your methods of taking measurements?

Taking Measurements

Taking measurements is a very important part of tailoring. We have to measure height, bust and waist parameters. First, we have to choose the right tape measure. It has to be soft cloth, plastic or rubber. We should stand straight. Circumference measurements require parallel position to the floor and length measurements need both parallel and perpendicular position.

While measuring it is better to wear clothes, which fit closely. All the results of measurements are usually written down. While measuring the upper arm, we consider its upper part. Chest is measured at the widest place. There are two measurements for the waist: natural waist and lowest part of the waist. Hips, thighs, calves are also measured at their widest line. Then for making clothes we measure the shoulders, shoulder seams, sleeve length, length of clothes, waist length.
