Past Continuous was/were + Ving 1. Задано точное время в прошлом yesterday at 1 o’clock. 2. Одновременные длительные действия в прошлом While - В то время как 3. Длительное действие, прерванное одномоментным кратким действием I was watching TV when you came. Я смотрел ТВ когда ты пришел.

Past Perfect had + Ved/V3

• Действие завершилось в прошлом перед другим действием в прошлом.

Past Perfect Continuous had+been + Ving

• Подчеркивает длительность действия, которое началось и закончилось в прошлом перед другим действием в прошлом .

I had been having a dinner for 10 minutes when he came back home.
