«Britain in April»
Цель урока: расширение лингвострановедческих знаний и навыков учащихся по теме «Британия в апреле».
Задачи: развивать навыки и умения в реализации речевой деятельности;
развивать способности к сравнению, умозаключению, развитие оперативной памяти, лингвистические способности учащихся;
способствовать развитию аналитического, критического и образного мышления через использование творческих заданий;
воспитание чувства доброжелательного отношения к окружающим через создание эмоционально-положительной атмосферы на уроке.
Технологии, методы и методические приемы: интерактивный, критическое мышление, работа в парах, словесный (беседа), наглядный (презентация, видео-материал, карточки), репродуктивный (запоминание информации), устного контроля (постановка вопросов в определенной логической последовательности, постановка наводящих вопросов), создание ситуации занимательности.
Оборудование: мультимедийные средства: интерактивная доска, компьютер, презентация, видео-материал, музыкальное сопровождение, песня «A time for us»; раздаточный материал, оценочные карты, материал для рефлексии: острова, кораблики.

- Today we're going to have an unusual lesson. We'll make an imaginary trip to one of the English-speaking countries. By the way, what English-speaking countries do you know? (Great Britain, India, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the USA, some African countries)
I won't tell you what country we are going to visit today. You have to guess it. In this box I have the symbol of this country. The House of Lancasters had a red flower and the House of Yorks had a white one as their emblems. After the war Henry VII combined the two flowers into the Tudor ….. (rose)

You know a lot about England but today I want to talk about only one month of the British year. So, the topic of our lesson is “Britain in April” (Слайд 1)
You know, April is very important for the English history. Tell me, please, what holidays and remarkable April events do you know? (Слайд — 2. На доске появляется кластер с изображением британских праздников, дети называют знаменательные апрельские события).

3.1 Составление кластера.
Now, I offer you to create your own clusters. For this purpose you have to divide into 2 groups. Look at the board and divide into the groups according to the list. (Слайд 10).
So, you have a whatman paper, clay sticks, felt-tip pens and some pictures. I want you to create a cluster on the topic “Britain in April”. In your clusters I'd like to see remarkable April events from the British history. Be careful, because among the pictures there are those that are not related to the topic. You have 5 minutes.
So, it's time to estimate each other. Use the descriptors and put your marks.
