Описание разработки

Цель урока: обучение смысловому восприятию (пониманию) английской речи на слух.

Задачи:

Развитие общих аудитивных навыков.

Развитие навыков употреблять в речи разные виды местоимений.

Развитие навыков и умений устного монологического сообщения с использованием образца.

Ознакомление учащихся с особенностями жизни и быта не только людей англо - говорящих стран, но и жителей России.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент и речевая зарядка

Презентация по английскому языку спорт и игры

Good morning dear boys and girls. I'm glad to see you. (We are glad to see you, too) Are you all right today? (We are fine, thank you. And how are you?) Fine, thanks. Is the weather fine today? (Yes, it is. It's very warm today. The sun is shining brightly. )

II. Сообщение целей урока

Today at the lesson we are going to revise pronouns, then you will listen to the story "An Excellent Student". Then you will do the test and answer the questions on the text. After that you will try to retell the story you have heard.

III. Речевая зарядка

 - Listen to me carefully and answer the questions:

1) Do all people need exercises?

2) What should people do to keep good health?

3) What sports are popular in England and in America?

4) What sports are popular in our country?

5) What is your favourite kind of sport?

6) Why is sport so important in our life?

IV. Закрепление навыка употребления местоимений в речи

 - Look at the screen and complete the sentences using the right pronoun.

V. Физкультминутка <Слайд 5>

 - Thank you, pupils. I see you are tired. I think it's time to have a rest. Stand up.

VI. Подготовка к прослушиванию текста "An Excellent Student"

You see the title of the story. Can you suggest what the story is about?

Before listening look at the screen. Here you can see some new words that you can meet in the story. Try to guess the meaning of these expressions on the screen.

Now you will listen to the story, try to understand the general meaning of the story and then say if Tom was really an excellent student.

(прослушав текст первый раз) Now answer the questions:

Was Tom really an excellent student?

Now you will listen to the text once more and after that you will do some tasks about the text.

Say True or False. Correct the wrong statements. <Слайд 7, 8>

1) A teacher was asking Tom a lot of questions.

2) Tom could answer one of them.

3) The teacher asked him questions on Geography and history of Great Britain and the USA.

4) Tom knew the emblems of England, Scotland and Wales.

5) The questions were not easy.

6) The teacher got very angry.

7) The teacher called the next student whose name was George Washington.

Keys: true - 1, 3, 6; false - 2, 4, 5, 7.

Why couldn't Tom answer any questions? (Tom couldn't answer any questions because his knowledge was very poor)

Did Tom feel happy? (No, he didn't. Tom didn't feel happy. )

Why did the teacher decide to ask very easy questions? (The teacher decided to ask very easy question because he/ she thought that Tom could answer them)

Make the following questions direct or indirect.

The teacher wanted to know what parts the UK consisted of.

The teacher asked what were the emblems of England, Scotland and Wales.

The teacher asked, "When was the Great Fire of London?"

The teacher asked, "Who was the first President of the USA?"

3) Обучение навыкам монологического высказывания по тексту <Слайд 11>

Look through the sentences on the screen and complete them.

A teacher was asking (Tom a lot of questions).

Tom's knowledge was (very poor and he couldn't answer any of them).

The teacher asked him questions on (Geography, History of Great Britain and the USA).

He wanted to know (what parts of the UK consisted of, what were the emblems of England, Scotland and Wales).

Tom didn't know (the answers).

The teacher decided to ask him (some very easy questions).

The teacher got very angry and (shouted "George Washington").

The student got up and (began to walk to his seat).

Now use these sentences as the plan and retell the story.
