Course of the lesson / Ход урока

Teacher: Good afternoon, comrades!

Pupil: Hello, Asel Nurlanovna!

Teacher: sit down, please. Answer my questions. How are you today? P1…P2…P3…

Pupil: the children answer the question and ask how am I?

Teacher: fine, thanks and who is on duty today?

Pupil: I am (The Danil is said)

Teacher: Danil can you say the date? (Какое сегодня число?)

Pupil: they all say the date. (The …^th of …) and I put the date on the blackboard and then I call out the children

Teacher: Danil, who is absent today?the duty says -all are present or she says the name of the children who don’t attend on the lesson

Teacher: what’s up with her/him, do you know?

Pupil: they answer--She is ill, or we don’t know.

Teacher: Good! Let’s start the work! Open your copy books and write down today’s date and theme. Our today’s theme is “What is

hardware and software? ” Also we have a grammar rule

Teacher: Today we are going to learn new words. Look and all together repeat after me. Open your vocabularies and copy out these new words.

Webster's Dictionary gives us the following definition of the hardware — the devices composing a computer system.

Computer hardware can be divided into 4 groups:

1. input hardware

2. processing hardware

3. storage hardware

4. output hardware

Input hardware collects data and inputs them into the computer. The most common input devices are: a keyboard, a mouse, a scanner.

Storage hardware is to store computer instruction and data. The most common ways of storing data are hard disk, floppy disk and CD-ROM (compact disk read only memory).

Floppy disk (diskette) — a thin, usually flexible plastic disk coated with magnetie material, for storing temporary computer data and programmes. CD-ROM is a compact disk on which data can be stored.

Software are the programmes that tell the hardware how to perform a task. Without software instructions, the hardware doesn't know what to do.

4. Work in pairs. Tell your partners about the hardware and software. Give explanations if necessary.

He designed a book on the computer language BASIC and created many computer programmes and operating systems for computer, such as DOS (disk operating system), Windows NT (New technology) developed by the company named Microsoft.
