(« Олимпийские игры в Сочи 2014»)

Цель урока:

Обобщение и систематизация знаний по теме «Спорт».

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

— тренировать и закреплять в речи учащихся лексические единицы по теме;

— познакомить учащихся с историей возникновения олимпийских игр;

— формировать речевые навыки, обеспечивающие познавательно-коммуникативные потребности учащихся;

— использовать новые слова по теме в устной речи, расширять словарный запас учащихся.

Развивающие:

— развивать языковые способности и устойчивый интерес к изучению английского языка;

— расширять кругозор обучающихся при помощи мультимедийных средств, информации из Интернета;

— развивать практические умения работе в группе.

Воспитательные:

— способствовать воспитанию толерантного отношения к спорту,

— способствовать воспитанию патриотических чувств у учащихся и любви к Родине ;

— способствовать обогащению внутреннего мира учащихся.

Актуальность и целесообразность использования медиапродукта:

— интенсификация учебно-воспитательного процесса (увеличение количества предлагаемой информации, эффективность выполнения упражнений увеличивается в несколько раз)

— повышение эффективности усвоения учебного материала за счет одновременного изложения учителем необходимых сведений и показа демонстрационных фрагментов (подача материала двумя способами: аудиально и визуально);

Форма обучения направлена на практическую подготовленность учащихся: владение английским языком в речи.

Развитие компетентностей:

— готовность к самообразованию;

— информационная;

— коммуникативная.

Ход урока.

1.Организационный момент. Приветствие.

Good morning, dear pupils, teachers and guests

I’m glad to see you. Welcome to our English lesson. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson.

Look at the board and guess what we are going to speak about. (On the board there are different pictures of Olympic Games and sports competitions ) .Today we are going to speak about Olympic Games and the sport whole.

T. : What kinds of sport do you know?

( football, basketball, hockey, figure skating, tennis etc.)

2. Повторение лексического материала по теме «Спорт».

Look at the board and I give you 2 minute to divide the words into summer and winter sports. Then we’ll check the task. Let’s repeat these words after me. T.: Now you try to guess the sport on the picture.

I see you like playing sport. And you need a lot of things to play sport. What do you need to play (football, figure skating, hockey)?

3. Проверка домашнего задания. ( класс был поделен на группы и каждая группа готовила свой проект на тему «Спорт», «История олимпийских игр» , «Олимпийские игры в Сочи», «Символы Олимпиады в Сочи».

4. Now we speak about Olympic Games

Last year our country Russia was the host of 22^nd winter Olympic games.

Who knows where did the these Olympic Games take place/? ( in Sochi)

Where is Sochi situated?

The host city Sochi is famous for its unique combination of Mediterranean and Alpine climate. It is located on the shore of the Black sea and at the foot of the Western Caucasus mountain region.

In order to learn more about Olympic games I want to invite the member of International Olympic Committee

Meet …. She will tell us about the history of Olympic Games.

The world’s greatest international sports games are known as the Olympic Games. According to a Greek legend ,Heracles and his father Zeus are the founders of the Games. These games were organized in order to the best sportsmen could show their power and strength .The Olympic Games have a very long history. They began in 777 BC in Greece and took place every four years for nearly twelve centuries at Olympia. They included many different kinds of sports: running, boxing, wrestling, long jumping, throwing of disks, chariot races, etc. All the cities in Greece sent their best athletes to Olympia to compete in the Games. All wars stopped during Olympic Games.

So the Olympic Games become the symbol of peace and friendship But the ancient Olympic Games ended in 394 AD. And Pierre de Coubertin , a young French noble man brought Olympic Games back to life. Thanks to his efforts the International Olympic Committee was created on the 23^rd of July in 1894.Now the IOC organizes the modern Olympic Games every four year.

6. The Olympic symbols are used by the IOC to promote the Olympic Games. What can you tell about especial symbol- the flag of Olympic games?

The Olympic flag consist of five rings of blue, black, red, green and yellow colours. Each ring representthe unity of the five inhabited continents. Blur is Europe, black is Africa, red is America, yellow is Asia and green is Australia.

Every Olympic Games have own mascots. What does mascot mean? What do you know about the 2014 Olympic Winter Games’ mascots?

Polar bear lives in Antarctica. His house is made from ice and snow. People teach him to ski, skate and play curling. But most of all polar bear likes to sledge . He wants to be a real sportsman and will take part in Olympic games.

Leopard lives in the highest mountain in the Caucasus. He is a mountain rescuer. He is always ready to help others. He is an excellent snowboarder. He is merry , sociable and strong.

Hare bunny lives in the forest . She is very active. She is the best pupil in the Forest Academy. She manages to help her mother and take part in different competition. She likes figure – skating. Also she is fond of music and dancing.

Who knows the motto of Olympic games?

Now let’s do the next task. Find 8 words of Olympic theme. Try to find the words in the horizontal vertical lines.
