Procedure:

Org. moment Good morning, students! How are you? What day is it today? What date is it today? What is the weather like today?

Warm up Play the rhyming pairs game (see games p 186)

Dear students, before starting our lesson, we should play the game, it's called rhyming words. On the school board there are some words, you have to find every word rhyme. Let's get started.

Tower – flower; tall – small; sun – fun; clown – down; pea – sea; chair – pair; blue – glue; book – cook

Very well, now, let's continue. Today our theme is Class Composition.

Open your books at p 81.

I'll give you the assessment list where you will rate yourself after each task.

Activity 1 – Complete the poem. Look at the picture. Where are the children? What can they see? Read. Choose words to complete each line. Think of a title.

Children, I will give you a few minutes to look carefully at the illustration.

Where are the children? – They are at the top of a tower.

Good.

What can they see? – They can see the goats. They can see the cars. They can see the pool. They can see the houses.

Excellent.

So take a pencil and write the name of the text on the first line. AT THE TOP OF A TOWER.

Let’s listen to the text very carefully. CD 2 track 16.

Very good.

Now I'll give you a few minutes to think what words are most appropriate here.

Now exchange your books with your classmates and again we listen to the text and you should check it out. CD 2 track 16.

Take your assessment list and fill it.

Let's do a special task.

Write question marks for the questions. Write full stops for the statements.

And now we should work in groups. The first group you will need to put a question mark and answer the questions. The second group you will need to put a question mark and answer the questions, too.
