Topic: “Almaty – my home town!”
Students: Children (10-11 years old) with elementary level of proficiency. 10-15 people.
Setting: State school where students start to learn English from the 1-st grade and have 1 hour per week.
Background: Previously we had learned: “Comparative form of long adjectives”
“Learning Objectives/Expected Results:
Target language: to review grammar: Homophones; The superlative form of short adjectives in English.
Target Content: Society, Culture, Animals
Objectives:
to review the constructions “I/You/We/They have got, He/She/It has got”
to ask and talk about the adjectives and how it’s forms
to practice saying the temperature
to consolidate knowledges about our country
to learn new vocabulary: a capital city, a city, a border, symbol, sights, locate
