1. The holiday of the English Language. Праздник английского языка. Принимают участие 2-6 классы.

2. Викторина – «Великобритания». Принимают участие 10-11 классы.

3. «Поэтическая гостиная».

1. Конкурс выразительного чтения англоязычной поэзии. Принимают участие 8 классы.

2. Конкурс на лучший перевод современных английских стихотворений. Принимают участие 7-9 классы.

LEISURE

What is this life, the full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare?

No time to stand beneath the boughs

And stare as long as sheep and cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass,

No time to see in broad daylight,

Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,

And watch her feet, how can they dance/

No time to wait till her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began?

A poor life this is, is full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

Задание: выразительно прочитайте лимерик (юмористическое стихотворение со следующими особенностями: состоит из пяти строк; первая строка рифмуется со второй и пятой, а третья – только с четвёртой.) и сделайте его литературный перевод на русский язык.

There was a young man of Divizez,

There was a ghost named Paul,

Who went to a fancy dress ball.

To shock all the guests

He went quite undressed,

But the rest couldn’t see him at all.

Teacher. Dear children, today we have many guests. Let’s greet them (children sing the song “Good morning, good morning, good afternoon..”)

Dunno appears.

Dunno. Ой, куда это я попал?

Teacher. Ты попал на праздник английского языка. Но сначала давай знакомиться.

Dunno. (подходит к детям и спрашивает)

What’s your name? (дети называют свои имена)

Teacher. А теперь дети спросите нашего гостя, как его зовут (дети поют песню «What is your name?”)

Now, tell me, please,

What is your name?

Dunno. My name is Dunno (3 раза)

That’s my name.

Teacher. Вот и познакомились. А теперь расскажите Незнайке, чем мы занимаемся в школе.

Pupils (хором) I read. I sing. I write. I jump. I study.

Teacher. Where do you study?

Pupils (хором) I study at school.

Teacher. What language do you study?

Pupils (хором) I study English.

Dunno. Как интересно! Как много вы знаете! Я тоже так хочу.

Teacher. Так оставайся с нами! Будь внимательным, старайся…

Dunno. Стараться? А зачем? Я и так всё знаю. Вот, например, “Good bye” –это «Доброе утро».

(Дети поправляют его)

Dunno. Ну хорошо. Я буду стараться.

Teacher. Дети, оказывается, Незнайка – художник. Нам в подарок он нарисовал несколько животных, но волнуется, что вы их не узнаете. Назовите, кого вы видите на рисунках.

Pupils (по очереди называют животных на рисунках) I can see a…

Teacher. Дети, скажите поблагодарите Незнайку за его рисунки. А теперь подскажите нашему другу, что мы должны брать в школу.

Pupils. A pen, a pencil, a copy-book, a bag, a pencil-case, a ruler…

(Дети организовывают игру «Угадай, что это?». Незнайка с закрытыми глазами берёт в руки предмет, который называет ведущий. Ведущего выбирают с помощью стиха-считалки).

One, one, one

I love the sun.

Two, two,two

I love my Mummy too.

Three, three, three

My Mummy loves me.

Teacher. Игра была очень интересная. Но постойте, мне кажется, кто-то плачет. (появляется Мышка)

Pupils. Little Mouse, little Mouse, where is your house? Where is your house, little Mouse?

Mouse. I’m little Mouse. I have no house.

Teacher. Дети, давайте поможем нашей гостье построить домик. Но сначала скажите, что должно быть у домика?

Pupils.(хором называют части домика) A window, a door, a table, a chair, a bed…

Teacher.(показывает рисунок домика) А как вам этот домик? Нравится? Посмотрите и скажите, что в нём есть.
