Конспект урока по английскому языку на тему "Спорт"

Урок поможет обобщить языковой материал по теме, работать над развитием коммуникативных навыков и умений учащихся, навыков исследовательской, проектной деятельности.

Описание разработки

Цели урока:

1.  Обобщить языковой материал по теме «Спорт».

2.  Работать над развитием коммуникативных навыков и умений учащихся, навыков исследовательской, проектной деятельности.

3.  Привить ученикам любовь к спорту, здоровому образу жизни.

Ход урока:

1). Приветствие.

Teacher: Good morning, dear friends! I am glad to see you! Sit down, please!

- Who is on duty today? - What is the date today? Who is absent today?

- Today we have a lesson-revision on the theme Sport and we are going to talk about different kinds of sport, your favorite sportsmen and sports teams.

In the beginning of our lesson I would like to ask you some questions about sport.

- Can you name these kinds of sport?

- What sport do you do often?

- Do you like doing sport or watching it on TV?

- What kinds of sport do you like watching?

- Do you usually do morning exercises?

- What do you do often to be healthy?

2). Ученики декламируют стихотворения на английском языке. Стихотворения взяты из учебника Верещагиной И. Н., часть 3 и 5.

Teacher: We continue our lesson with the poems about Sport.

Pupil 1 is going to tell us the poem “Sport”.

And now Pupil 2, you are welcome. His poem is named “If it snows”.

3). Фонетическая зарядка. Учащимся предлагается вспомнить и повторить пословицу, относящуюся к теме урока.

(An apple a day keeps the doctor away).

Teacher: Look at the board. Here is a proverb. Let’s read and translate it. Repeat this proverb all together.

4). Повторение лексики по теме «Спорт».

Athletics, basketball, diving, golf, hang gliding, hockey, horse riding, ice skating, judo, rock climbing, skiing, water skiing, football, tennis, volleyball.

Teacher: And now we are going to revise the vocabulary on the theme «Sport».

Способы проверки лексики:

а). У учеников на столе лежат карточки с лексикой на английском языке, учитель называет слово по-русски, а те ученики, у которых есть карточка с переводом данного слова на английский язык, быстро ее поднимают, называют слово по-английски и отдают карточку учителю.

Teacher: You have got lexical cards on your tables. I am going to tell the word in Russian and the pupil who has the card with this word in English should lift the card up and name the word.

б). Учащиеся выполняют лексические упражнения.

Teacher: And now we are going to do some lexical exercises in written form.

1). Correct these words:

Atletics, daiving, hokey, footboll.

2). Put the missing letters in:

Ice sk…ting, han… gl…ding, …udo, bask…tball.

3). Make the words up using these letters:

folg, isnten, tsankig, lavllyoble.

5). Аудирование текста «Спорт».

Учебник Opportunities Elementary, стр. 59. После прослушивания текста ученики выполняют задание на понимание услышанного - стр. 59 № 3.

Teacher: And now listen to the interview on the theme «Sport» twice and then answer the questions.

6). Отработка монологических умений по теме «Спорт».

Teacher: I know you have prepared some reports about your favorite kinds of sport, your favorite sportsmen and sports teams. Come to the board and tell us about them, please.

Pupil’s Monologue.

We would like to tell you about ice hockey. This is our favorite kind of sport. Two teams of six players take part in this game. When you play ice hockey you have to wear skates. The rules of this game are: you can’t hit other players, can’t touch the puck, you have to use the stick to score goals.

Ice hockey matches last three periods of twenty minutes each. The hockey platform has the length of sixty one meters, the width of thirty meters. Ice hockey is a game for strong and brave men. They say a coward doesn’t play hockey!

Pupil’s Monologue.

We would like to tell you about our favorite hockey team “AK Bars”. It appeared in Kazan in the 1990s. The President of this team is…. The coach of “AK Bars” is…. Hockey players train in a new and beautiful palace TatNeft Arena built in 2005.

In 2006 in the final match “AK Bars” beat Omsk Avangard by five goals to nil and won the cup of Russia. Then “AK Bars” beat Canadian team and won the cup of European Champions. Unfortunately, this year in the final match “AK Bars” has been beaten by Metallurg by two goals to one. However, “AK Bars” stays the most favorite team of many people in our city.

Pupil’s Monologue.

Mikhail Sinev is a defender of Kazan football team “Rubin”. He was born in 1972. His height is 180 cm, weight 72 kg. He is married, and has got a child. He came from CSKA. Played for CSKA, Kamaz Naberezhnye Chelny, Arsenal Tula, Torpedo-Zil Moscow. Since 2002 Mikhail Sinev plays for “Rubin”.

7). Чтение текста «Underwater hockey».

Учебник Opportunities Elementary, стр. 60. После чтения текста ученики выполняют задание на понимание прочитанного - стр. 60 № 2.

Teacher:

- Have you ever heard about underwater hockey?

- Has anybody played this game?

- Would you like to play underwater hockey?

- And now let’s read the text «Underwater hockey» on the page 60 and then do exercise number two.

8). Физкультурная пауза.

Teacher: Let’s have one minute break. I ask you to stand up and do some physical exercises.

9). Повторение грамматики - Can, can’t, have to, don’t have to.

Teacher: Now we are going to revise grammar. I ask you to remember when we use can, can’t, have to, don’t have to.

Pupil: We use “can” when something is possible, “can’t” when something is not possible. We use “have to” when something is necessary, “don’t have to” when something is not necessary.

Teacher: Very good. Now let’s do exercise number nine on the page 61 in written form. - Let’s check your answers.

10). Отработка монологических умений по теме «Спорт».

Teacher: I heard you have prepared some descriptions of your favorite kinds of sport. I ask you to tell us about them, please. - And all of you should guess the name of the sports. (Answers: Ice hockey, Football, Tennis).

Pupil: You have to wear skates, can’t hit other players, can’t touch the puck, and have to use the stick to score goals. Guess what the name of the sport is.

Pupil: You have to score goals, can’t use your hands, can touch the ball with your head; don’t have to wear a helmet. Guess what the name of the sport is.

Pupil: You can’t walk over the net, have to serve over the net, have to wear white clothes, can’t touch the net with the racket. Guess what the name of the sport is.

11). Проектная работа “The Gym of the Future”.

Teacher: Our pupils have done the project for today’s lesson and now they are going to tell us about it. Girls, you are welcome.

Pupil’s Dialogue.

- Let’s introduce ourselves. We are the members of the city sports committee.

My name is….

We want you to tell us about your project. After that we’ll see if your project is good or not.

- What is the name of your project?

- The Gym of the Future. We want our school gym to be very beautiful, light, and comfortable and to have good equipment.

- What equipment do you mean?

- We mean balls, ropes, bars, basket rings, Sweden walls and other sports equipment needed for Physical Education classes.

- And what about a swimming pool?

- We’ll think about it. That would be OK if our gym had a pool.

- Tell us, please how will you use your gym in the future?

- Well, we will run, jump, climb, play sports games and train for different competitions there. Our schoolchildren take part in many sports competitions, win prizes, and they will be glad to train in such beautiful gym.

- We think your project is really good. Thank you and Good Luck!

- Thank you. Good-bye.

12). Решение кроссворда.

Teacher: Look at the board. This is a crossword. Try to write the words on the theme “Sport” correctly.

13). Подведение итогов урока.

Запись домашнего задания. Выставление оценок.

Teacher: Our lesson came up to its end. You’ve worked very hard. Your marks for the lesson are… Thank you. Good-bye!

Цели урока:

  1. Обобщить языковой материал по теме «Спорт».

  2. Работать над развитием коммуникативных навыков и умений учащихся, навыков исследовательской, проектной деятельности.

  3. Привить ученикам любовь к спорту, здоровому образу жизни.


Задачи урока:

  1. Закрепить лексические и грамматические навыки учащихся по теме «Спорт».

  2. Отработать монологические и диалогические навыки и умения по теме «Спорт».

  3. Работать над развитием речи учащихся, используя для достижения данной цели декламирование стихотворений и разучивание пословиц.


Дидактическое оборудование урока:

1. Тетради учащихся.

2. Учебник Opportunities Elementary.

3. Карточки с лексикой по теме «Спорт».

4. Рисунки, плакаты с изображением различных видов спорта.

5. Стенгазета с проектом «The gym of the Future».

6. Магнитофон с аудиокассетой.


Ход урока:

1). Приветствие.

Teacher: Good morning, dear friends! I am glad to see you! Sit down, please!

- Who is on duty today? - What is the date today? Who is absent today?

- Today we have a lesson-revision on the theme Sport and we are going to talk about different kinds of sport, your favorite sportsmen and sports teams.

In the beginning of our lesson I would like to ask you some questions about sport.

- Can you name these kinds of sport?

- What sport do you do often?

- Do you like doing sport or watching it on TV?

- Do you usually do morning exercises?
