Количественные местоимения
Местоимения many, much, (a) few, (a) little употребляются как в
качестве местоимений-прилагательных, так и местоимений-существительных.
Many/ much употребляются со значением много, многое, значительная часть, многие. Many / much употребляются главным образом в вопросительных и отрицательных предложениях. В утвердительных предложениях обычно вместо них употребляются a lot (of), lots (of), plenty (of).
A few/ a little употребляются со значением немного, несколько в смысле некоторое, хотя и небольшие количество.
Few/ little употребляются со значением мало, в смысле недостаточно, почти нет.
Местоимения many, a few, few употребляются перед исчисляемыми существительными, в то время как местоимения much, a little, little употребляются перед неисчисляемыми существительными.
Much, (a) little могут употребляться в роли наречия и относиться к глаголу.
