"Famous people"

The objectives of the lesson: To develop students' musical knowledge and English speaking skills

Equipment: presentation, picture, marker, A3 papers

Teacher’s speech:

Good morning, dear boys and girls. Our respected teachers and guests. We are glad to see you! Welcome to our musical show « Famous people » . Let us introduce you the members of the team. They are the students of 7 th grade. Well let’s begin.

We make one picture from of the cards and divide it into groups. Students are divided into three groups.

1st group – Justin Bieber

2^nd group – Beyonce

3 rd group – Selena Gomez

Each group presents its own group name.

I level . «Sing». Look at the whiteboard. Make a sentence based on the picture and sing it. Each group is given in three different pictures.

The maximum score is 3 points. Students will compose a sentence using a picture and follow rap music. 2: You are really talented! Clap your hands!

II level. «Find the word» . Each student will be invited from each group. The same student wears a headset. The headphones play a melody. Another member of the same group arrives in the English language to find the word. Each word is added 1 point. Each group is given 5 words .

Words given to the group.

1st group – Justin Bieber – trolleybus, ice – cream, butter, orange, tomato

2^nd group – Beyonce – lemon, children, rabbit, eleven, black

3 rd group – Selena Gomez – twelve, fridge, crocodile, giraffe, chocolate.

Warm –up. « Sit » game. In this game students have to move around chairs, carry out teacher’s commands: go, jump, dance, fly, swim. At the command: Sit!, students must sit on the chairs. The team whose last member remains is the winner.

III level. Guess the melody and sing a song in English. Responsible person who turns on the music without words , and the student remember the song and perfom it. If they cannot guess the song, they are invited to perfom another.

1st group – Justin Bieber:

Trees as tall as any building

Clouds that drifts across the sky

Shining fish in deep blue oceans

Birds that spread their wings and fly

2^nd group – Beyonce :

Snow upon the highest mountains

Waterfalls that crash and roar

Deserts that stretch on forever

Soft waves on a sandy shore

3 rd group - Selena Gomez :

Flowers growing in my garden

Apples falling from a tree

Raindrops falling on my window

These are stunning scenes to me
