Цели:
Учебный аспект: развитие умений монологической и диалогической речи, умений чтения и аудирования по теме “ Famous people ”.
Воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре стран изучаемого языка, к своей культуре.
Познавательный аспект: расширение кругозора и повышение общей культуры учащихся в рамках данной темы.
Развивающий аспект: развитие языковой догадки, логического мышления, познавательных способностей учащихся.
Задачи: активизировать лексический материал по темам «Черты характера», «Профессии», учить учащихся читать с извлечением конкретной информации, учить учащихся рассказывать биографию писателей с опорой на план.
Оборудование и оснащение: интерактивная доска, компьютер, проектор, презентации, видеофрагменты из видеофильмов “ Madame Tussaud’s” , “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока
1. Начало урока. 2 мин.
1.1. Организационный момент.
Good morning, dear students. Sit down, please. Who is absent today? I am glad to see you again. How are you?
(The students answer the questions.)
1.2. Введение в ситуацию общения.
Please, look at the screen. What pictures do you see? Can you guess the topic of our lesson? (слайд1- портреты известных людей).
You are right; we are going to speak about famous people.
2.Основная часть. 40 мин.
2.1. Фронтальная работа (закрепление лексического материала по теме”Professions”). 2 мин.
There are people of different professions among celebrities. Let’s revise the names of some professions. Look at the slide and give the names of the professions (слайд2- приложение 1).
2.2. Викторина “ Famous people ” (развитие умений устной речи). 6 мин.
Thank you. And now guess the name of the well-known person and say what he or she is famous for. (слайды 3-13 –портреты известных людей).

2.3. Просмотр видеофрагмента из видеофильма «Madame Tussaud’s» (развитие умений устной речи). 5 мин.
It’s great. Thank you very much. You know that there are different museums devoted to celebrities. And where can we see wax figures of famous people?
It’s right, at Madame Tussaud’s. Please, watch the video about the museum and be ready to answer the question “What wax figures can we see at Madame Tussaud’s museum?

2.4. Презентация проектов “ Joanne Rowling ”, “ Lewis Carroll ”(развитие умений монологической речи и умений аудирования). 7 мин.
We can see wax figures of famous writers at Madame Tussaud’s museum, can’t we? –Yes, we can. Now we are going to listen to the presentations about some English writers.
Paulina has prepared the project about Joanne Rowling.
Listen to the project and be ready to answer the questions.

Let’s relax and listen to the song from the cartoon “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”. Try to sing together with Alice (приложение 2).

2.6. Работа в парах (закрепление лексического материала по теме “Characteristics”). 2 мин. I like your singing. Thank you very much. Do you like Alice? What are her characteristics?

Let’s revise the words denoting characteristics. Take the cards and arrange the words in pairs of opposites (слайд14 - приложение 3).

2.7. Мини-проект “My favourite writer” (развитие умений диалогической речи и умений аудирования). 3 мин.
Now we are going to listen to another project. It’s an interview about a favourite writer. Listen to Anna and Tanya and answer the questions.

And what about Russian writers? Do you know them? Look at the slide. Can you guess the person? - This is M. Lermontov.
That’s right. Now your task is to read the text about Mikhail Yurievich Lermontov and answer the questions. I give you four minutes (приложение 5).

Mikhail Lermontov
Mikhail Lermontov was born in Moscow in 1814. He spent his childhood in Tarkhany (Lermontovo), which is not far from Penza.He enjoyed the beauty of his homeland. He was fond of folk tales and songs. M. Lermontov started to write poems in Tarkhany. His first poem “Spring” was published when he was 16 years old.
In 1830 Lermontov entered Moscow University. Soon he left the university and entered the School of Cadets in St. Petersburg. He finished it in 1834. In 1837 the poet was sent to the Caucasus (Кавказ) for his poem on Pushkin's death. In 1841 Lermontov was sent into exile to the Caucasus for the second time. In 1841 the poet was killed in a duel. He was only twenty six. Lermontov wrote poetry, prose and drama. He was a poet, a writer and a painter.
