Good afternoon! Today  we are going to speak about friendship. I suppose that it is one of  the actual problems for you because you are school leavers now, and next year you are going to study at university, to make new friend and new relationship. Our today’s guest Professor Finney  will give you useful advice..

But let’s remember what qualities people should  and shouldn’t have to be liked by other  people, to succeed in life?

Listen to me and help me, please.

- if your friend tries to understand your problems and give any help you need, he is….(helpful)

- if your friend cares only about himself and not about you, he is…( selfish)

- if your can trust your friend a secret and get  support in any situation, he is…(reliable)

- if your friend is usually in a good mood, he is…

( cheerful)

- if your friend  is careful not to say or do something that will upset or embarrass you, he is…(tactful)

- if your friend talks too proudly about himself, he is…(boastful)

- if your friend always gives you  presents or pays for lunch, he is…(generous)

- if your friend is  clever, successful, and extremely good,  he is…(brilliant)

- if your friend never seems pleased or satisfied if he grumbles at everything, he is…(gloomy)

- if your friend pays too much attention to himself that he doesn’t notice what is happening to you, he is…(self-centered)

- if your friend expects that something bad will happen in the future or that situation will have a bad result, he is…

(pessimistic)

- if  your friend feels angry and unhappy because you  have something that he would like, he is…(jealous)

if your friend is  unwilling to talk proudly about his abilities and achievements, he is…(modest)

- snigger to laugh in a quite unpleasant way, especially at sth rude or at smb’s problems or mistakes giggle to laugh in a silly way because you are amused embarrassed or nervous.

Open your books, page 19 exercise 1 read the task and the sentences..

Listen to the text and complete the sentences.

Who is ready to do the task? OK!
