First Pilgrim:
We are the Pilgrims,
Who seek a new home.
We want to worship God in our own way,
So we sail toward the free New World.
Second Pilgrim:
Our ship is called the Mayflower.
Over one hundred are on board.
It is small and very crowded,
And sickness is all around.
Third Pilgrim:
There is no kitchen on our ship.
Our food is cold and hard—
Biscuits, cheese, and salted meat
Are all there is to eat. (поют песню My Bonnie)
Fourth Pilgrim:
Sixty-six long days have passed.
Then the deck is suddenly filled!
“There’s land ahead! Our voyage is done!
Praise God for the free New World!’’
All: Praise God for America! (пилигримы покидают корабль)
Pilgrims 5, 6, 7:
The winter was hard.
The winter was cold.
But the Pilgrims struggled and worked.
Fifth Pilgrim:
We tied our ship near Plymouth Rock
And climbed upon the land.
A fierce wind blew and frost and cold.
We shivered and were hungry, too.
Sixth Pilgrim: (появляется изображение строящегося дома, по сцене проходят люди с бревнами, а за ними идут вооруженные люди)
We chopped and we chopped till the trees fell down.
Then we sawed them into planks.
We built our cabins one by one.
While the snow lay on the ground.
Seventh Pilgrim: (появляются индейцы, и происходит вручение подарков)
Natives came and we gave them gifts.
They showed us how to hunt.
They helped us catch some fish to eat,
For now our food was gone.
Eighth Pilgrim:
The natives even gave us seed
So we could plant corn in the spring.
We plowed the earth as soon as we could.
So we’d have a good harvest that fall.
Ninth Pilgrim:
We set aside a special day—
A special day for thanksgiving.
We wanted our friends, the Indians, to come,
For they had given us much help
Tenth Pilgrim:
We went deep into the forest to hunt for more food.
And returned with turkeys and deer.
We cooked this food on our outdoor fires,
And filled the air with good smells!
Eleventh Pilgrim:
We made ready the corn and pumpkins
And other foods from the harvest.
Enough for a feast, there was such plenty!
And a feast means more than enough.
Twelfth Pilgrim:
The Indians came and stayed three days,
For their feasts were always that long.
We all played games while more food was prepared.
What a wonderful Thanksgiving it was!
(исполняется песня “The Simplest Gifts”, танец)

My Bonnie
My Bonnie is over the ocean.
My Bonnie is over the sea.
My Bonnie is over the ocean.
Oh, Bring back my Bonnie to me.
Bring back.
Bring back.
Bring back my Bonnie to me, to me.
Bring back my Bonnie to me, to me.
Last night as I lay on my pillow
Last night as I lay on my bed
Last night as I lay on my pillow
I dream’d that my Bonnie was dead.
Turkey dinner (Скачиваем отсюда: Turkey dinner.zip)
Turkey dinner, turkey dinner
Gather round, gather round
Who will get the drumstick?
Yummy, yummy drumstick
All sit down. All sit down.
Cornbread muffins, chestnut stuffing,
Pudding pie, one foot high.
All of us were thinner
Until we came to dinner!
Me oh my! Me oh my!
America the beautiful
America the Beautiful
Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
Simple Gifts
Its a gift to be simple, Its a gift to be free,
Its the gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
Will be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend, we will not be ashamed,
To turn, turn, will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come round right
Its a gift to be simple, Its a gift to be free,
Its a gift to come down where you ought to be,
And when we find ourselves in the place just right,
Will be in the valley of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend, we will not be ashamed,
To turn, turn, will be our delight,
Till by turning, turning we come round right
Till by turning, turning we come round right
Mayflower
The Mayflower, the Mayflower
A little ship on an ocean trip.
The Mayflower, the Mayflower
A yo ho ho over the sea.
The lightning was fright’ning
The winds were strong as they rode along
On the Mayflower, the Mayflower
A yo ho ho over the sea.
Twas dreary and bleary,
They nearly froze in their Pilgrim Clothes
On the Mayflower, the Mayflower
A yo ho ho over the sea.
Then land ho! We all know,
They came to dock up at Plymouth Rock
On the Mayflower, the Mayflower
A yo ho ho over the sea.
