So, at our today`s lesson we`ll find out what characteristics an ideal friend should have. And we`ll need all our knowledge to find it out.

Now, let`s read about Linda`s best friend and see what traits of character she has. Afterwards, we`ll compare her with your best friends. Words and expressions before reading

definitely – определенно

be there for smbd –  быть всегда рядом

trust – доверять

forever – навсегда

My best friend is Susan. She is 12 years old.

We`ve been friends for 6 years, since our first year at school.

She is a tall girl with long fair hair and blue eyes. She likes sports and looks very athletic.

 Twice a week she plays tennis. She also likes dancing very much. Sometimes we go to discos.

 

 At the weekend we sometimes go to the theatre with our parents for a change.

Susan is very sociable and talkative. And I`m sure I can trust her, that`s why we share all our secrets. You see that we get on well with each other.  I hope we`ll be friends forever.

3. What do the girls sometimes do with their parents at the weekend?
