Урок 37. Английский язык 4 класс ФГОС

Урок начинается с трёх ситуаций, в которых дети рассказывают о своих планах на каникулы. В ходе данного урока ребята выучат новые фразы, которые они смогут использовать в дальнейшем для описания своих собственных планов. Также учащиеся повторят конструкцию to be going to. В конце урока ребята смогут выполнить упражнение, закрепив тем самым свои знания.

Конспект урока "Holiday plans"

Hello, boys and girls! My name is Bobby.

And my name is Tobby. This is our friend Mobby.

Melvin is also here with us today!

Hello, everyone!

Guys, we are glad to welcome you on our lesson!

And today we would like to start the lesson with three short stories.

Listen to these stories, please.

This will help you to guess the topic of our lesson today.

One.

Martin, hooray! Only ten days left before the summer holidays!

Yeah, I know, James! I’ve been counting the days. I’m just so tired of school!

So am I. Martin, what plans do you have for the summer holidays?

Well, this summer I’m going to visit my grandparents. They live in London.

Wow! Cool! London is a beautiful city!

Yes, I agree! What about you, James? What plans do you have for the holidays?

Oh, I’m going to go camping with my friends.

Wow! That sounds great!

Two.

Hi, Nathaniel!

Hi, Marcus!

Nathaniel, today is the last day of school. What plans do you have for the holidays?

Well, I’m going to go to the lake and swim a lot.

Oh, that’s a good plan! I like swimming too.

Yeah! Christopher, and what plans do you have for the holidays?

Well, I’m going to go to the seaside.

That's great, Christopher! I'm looking forward to seeing your photos when you get back.

Three.

Jerry, I’m so happy! Only five days left before the winter holidays!

Oh, yes, that’s right!

Jerry, what’s wrong? You supposed to be happy too!

No, Bradley, I’m not happy, because my mum wants me to spend all the holidays with my uncle Frank. And I don’t like him.

Oh, that’s sad! I think you should tell your mum about that.

Bradley, that’s a great idea! Maybe she will change her mind! And what are your plans for the winter holidays?

Well, I’m going to go to the mountains with my parents.

Oh, that sounds perfect!

Now I think you understand that today in the lesson we will:

talk about holiday plans;

learn new words;

revise the construction “to be going to”;

revise how to form sentences with this construction;

And

put the knowledge into practice.

Guys, you’ve listened to three different stories!

Now let’s look through these stories once again.

Pay attention to the words in bold!

The first story is…

As you can see, in this story one of the main characters used the phrase “go camping”.

Go camping.

The translation is “отдыхать на природе в палатках”.

For example:

Wendy and Carla are going to go camping this summer.

Now let’s look through the second story.

And the story is…

As you can see, in this story the main characters used the phrases “go to the lake” and “go to the seaside”.

Go to the lake.

The translation is “ходить/ездить на озеро”.

For example:

Michael and Susan are going to go to the lake on their holidays.

Go to the seaside.

The translation is “ездить на море”.

For example:

Robin and Cody are going to go to the seaside with their parents.

Now let’s look through the last story.

And the story is…

As you can see, in this story one of the main characters used the phrase “go to the mountains”.

Go to the mountains.

The translation is “ходить/ездить в горы”.

For example:

My uncle and I are going to go to the mountains this summer.

Guys, we’ve learnt four phrases which can be used to talk about the holiday plans.

Now let’s revise all these phrases once again.

Listen and repeat after me.

Go camping.

Go to the lake.

Go to the seaside.

Go to the mountains.

Great! Now you know some phrases which you can use to talk about your holiday plans.

You also need to know that if you want to tell someone about your future plans and intentions, you can use the construction “to be going to".

It’s translated as “собираться, намереваться”.

Now let’s revise how to form sentences with the construction “to be going to”.

To form positive sentences, we put the subject in the first place. Then we use one of the forms of the verb “to be”: am, is or are. We use “am” with the pronoun I, we use “is” with the pronouns “he, she, it” and “are” is used with the pronouns “we, you, they”. In the third place we put the word “going”. And after that we use the “to-infinitive”.

For example:

Julia and Jennifer are going to visit the museum.

Or

Oliver is going to ride a bike in the evening.

To form negative sentences, we put the subject in the first place, then we use one of the words “am”, “is” or “are” with the particle “not”. In the third place we put the word “going”. And after that we use the “to-infinitive”.

For example:

Julia and Jennifer are not going to visit the museum.

Or

Oliver is not going to ride a bike in the evening.

And to form questions, we put one of the words “am”, “is” or “are” in the first place. Then we put the subject. In the third place we put the word “going”. And after that we use the “to-infinitive”.

For example:

Are Julia and Jennifer going to visit the museum?

Or

Is Oliver going to ride a bike in the evening?

Guys, we’ve revised how to form sentences with the construction “to be going to”.

Now we would like to check your knowledge.

And your task is to look at the pictures and make the sentences. Use the phrases from the box and the construction “to be going to”.

The first picture is…

Let’s check the right answer.

Emma and Julia are going to go to the mountains.

The second picture is…

Check yourselves.

Willian is going to go to the lake.

The following picture is…

Let’s check the right answer.

Justin and Kevin are going to go camping.

And the last picture is…

Check yourselves.

Megan is going to go to the seaside.

Well done, boys and girls!

Now you know how to talk about your holiday plans.

That’s all for today, our dear friends!

We hope the lesson was interesting and useful for you.

See you soon.
