(Звучат сообщения учащихся, подготовленные дома.)

My hero is my great- grandfather Sergey Petrovich Mylnikov. I haven’t seen him. He died before my birth, that’s why I don’t know much about him.

When the Great Patriotic War began Sergey was 23 and was married. On the 1st of July 1943 he went to the front. He struggled against fascists in 193th shooting regiment. Twice he was seriously injured and spent many days in hospital. His chin and tongue were cut down and the face was deformed. That’s why he couldn’t speak well. It was a great tragedy for a young man

His wife Zinaida waited for him and was very glad to meet him again. I admire her kindness and patience. They had been living together for many years. They have 3 sons.

Sergey Petrovich was awarded 8 medals.

I am proud of my great grandmother Koryakova Anna Alexeevna. She was born in 1919 in a small village Bekhterevo in Chelyabinsk region. During the war she as many other women worked in kolkhoz. There were not any tractors and machines. She made different work, look after cows and sheep, mowed grass and corn. In summer farmers stood up very early and milked cows, then worked in field, in the evening they milked cows again. People had to work from dawn till darkness.

Women worked every day in frost, wind and snow. She did hard work and hoped our country would win. Anna Alexeevna was awarded medal “Work Veteran”. She died in 1983. We must honor women’s contribution in great victory.
