The Present Perfect Tense We use the present perfect tense:
for actions which happened at an unstated indefinite time in the past
My parents have bought a new horse.
(When did they buy it? We don’t know when; the time is not mentioned)

(When? We don’t know)
The Present Perfect Tense We use the present perfect tense:
for actions which started in the past and are still continuing in the present.
My father has worked here for seven years.
(He started working here seven years ago and he still works here)
I have known Sue for five years.
(We met five years ago and we still know each other)

I have just finished my exercise.
He has just had lunch.
An action just completed
We use PPT to indicate an action that has just been completed.
