Aims:

Educational:

-to provide an opportunity for pupils to work creatively and cooperatively.

Developing:

–to improve  pupils’ speaking, reading, writing and listening skills

Pedagogical:

-to enable the learners to work in groups, in pairs and individually

-to raise pupils’ personal qualities like behavior, education etc.

The method of the lesson: interactive

The type of the lesson: demonstrative

The equipment of the lesson:

Cards, pictures, computer, projector handouts, additional materials and others.

Vocabulary and structure:

Outcome results:

By the end of the lesson pupils will be able to talk about  fairy tales and characters in them.

Procedure of the lesson:

I.The beginning of the lesson:

  1. a) Greeting. Good morning pupils.

Good morning teacher.

  1. b) To make up an English language atmosphere. A talk with the pupil on duty.

How is your today? Do you love English? Do you love Fairy Tales?

II. The main part of the lesson:

  1. Name group.

  2. Find me” game

  3. Watch attentively. Film review

  4. What about?

  5. Step by step.




    1. Task1. Name group.

Teacher divides pupils into 2 groups by puzzles.



    1. Task2. Find me.

Pupils are taken pictures of characters from some fairy tales. Pupils have to match the pictures and tale’s name correctly.







Task3. Watch attentively (Fairy tale review).

Students show a brief overview of the fairy tale. After viewing pupils should answer the questions:

      1. The main character of a fairy tale?

      2. How many sisters has got Cinderella?

      3. Who helps Cinderella to go to the Royal Party?

      4. What did She lose?

      5. Who falls in love with Cinderella?





Task5 What about?

Pupils are given a text about some kind of fairy tale. They have to guess what fairy tale is.

Text1

Relived to see her again, her father felt much better. Girl was happy. However, she did not notice that seven days had gone by.

“Oh! I must go back to the Beast”

When Gil returned, she found the Beast in the rose garden.

“Beast, I’m back!”

“You’re too late. I’m dying.”

No! Please don’t die. I love you.”

Then something magical happened.

The Beast turned into a handsome young man.

“What happened to you?”

“The terrible spell was broken because of your love for me. Thank you.”

Her mother died when Snow White was a baby and her father married again.

This queen was very pretty but she was also very cruel.

The wicked stepmother wanted to be the most beautiful lady in the kingdom and she would often ask her magic mirror, “Mirror! Mirror on the wall! Who is the fairest of them all?”

And the magic mirror would say, “You are, Your Majesty!”

But one day, the mirror replied, “….. is the fairest of them all!”

The wicked queen was very angry and jealous of …….

She ordered her hunt.

Task 5 Step by step.

One pupil of each team go to the centre and step by step answers the questions. If pupil answers correctly he will go forward. The prize will be received by pupil who first come to the finish line.
