T: So, let’s answer the question. What country is it?

P: It is Kazakhstan.

T: Yes, you are right! It is our Mother land. Today we’ll have unusual lesson. We are going to speak about history of Kazakhstan, of our Mother Land. Let’s read the poem about Kazakhstan.

Oh, Kazakhstan, I’m in love with you

Remember, Kazakhstan, you are great

Not in the green fields full of wheat

And forests, gardens free of dust

I love you deeply, dear land!

T: Very good!

T: Look at the active board. Repeat after me.

T: Children, open your students books at page 65. Let’s read about “The first Kazakh” Before reading I would like to devide you into 3 groups.

T: P1, P2, P3 and P4 you are the first group.

T: P1, P2, P3 and P4 you are the second group.

T: P1, P2, P3 and P4 you are the third group.

T: Stand up the 1 group, you should read the 1st part.

T: Stand up the 2 group, you should read the 2nd part.

T: Stand up the 3 group, you should read the 3rd part.

T: I’ll give you 3minutes. Be attentive.

T: Stop! Your time is over. So, let’s read and discuss.

T: The 1st part: The area now called Kazakhstan has a very long history. People lived here during the Stone Age, thousands of years ago. A Mongolian tribe, the A-Shono, created the first state in the area in the 6th century. In 766 the Qarluqs, a group of Turkic tribes, created a state in eastern Kazakhstan.

2) In what century did people live here?

3) Who created the state of East Kazakhstan?

T: The 2nd part: After this, many different people – Arabs, Turks and Mongols – lived in the area. But by the middle of the 15th century, the people of the area were called Kazakhs. The first known Kazakh leader was Kasym Khan. He ruled from 1511 to 1523 and united the Kazakh tribes into one people.

T: The 3rd part: The Kazakh then separated into three new tribes, or hordes – the Great Horde in the south, the Middle Horde in the north and the Little Horde in the west. But this was not a peaceful time. For many years, the hordes fought against the Dzungars and the Russians. The Middle Horde and the Little Horde signed agreements with Russia in the 18th century, but the Great Horde was independent until the 1820s.
