Aim of the lesson: The pupils will learn to use the vocabulary on theme “Shopping” and structure “to be going to” in 4 types of speech activity

Tasks of the lesson:

Practical:

1) To practice skills of monologue and dialogue speech on the topic “Shopping”

 2) To consolidate the structures “I can buy” and “to be going to”

 Developing: To develop speech, memory and thinking of pupils

 Educational: To cultivate a respect of children to each other, ability to listen

Type of the lesson: Using of knowledge

Forms of the work: Group work, pair work, individual work

Equipment: Interactive whiteboard, powerpoint presentation, cards with the pictures of shops and goods sold in them, cards with exercises for the development of critical thinking.

Organizational moment

Good morning, children! I am glad to see you.

Introduction

Look! I’ve got a lot of bags. What do you think is the theme of our lesson?

Right you are! The theme of our lesson is “Shopping”.

Warm up

Do you like to do shopping? Who do you go shopping with? What do you like to buy? What kinds of shops do you know? What can you buy at the bakery (flower shop, shoe shop, greengrocer’s, toy shop, book shop, clothes shop, sweets shop, sports shop)?

Guess what shop is it?

Children ask riddles to each other.

Game “Shopping” (group work).

Choose the shop and name the things you can buy there.

Developing writing skills.

Find the odd word out.

Butter, bread, cake, biscuits

Boots, shoes, nuts, trainers

Books, comics, magazines, pencils

Car, plane, robot, racket

Bike, skates, football shirt, doll

Sweets, lollypop, chocolates, ice - cream

Flowers, apples, roses, plants

Self - assessment. 7 answers – “5”, 5 - 6 answers – “4”, 3 - 4 answers – “3”, 2 - 1 answers – “2”.

Make up the words and write them.
