Разработка урока по английскому языку
по теме «Illussions»
Орг. Момент
Good morning, dear friends! How are you? I hope you are fine. I think we’ll have an unusual but interesting lesson today. And I hope you will be active during the lesson.
So, I want to start the lesson with the words of the outstanding (great) Polish scientist N. Kopernik “What is visible is not always corresponds to the actual”.
(на доске)
Today we’ll try to understand some of the mysteries of nature. And what are these mysteries? You will try to give the answer for this question.
Целеполагание
Look at the screen, please (Ex1p48)
How many faces can you see in this picture? (6)
How many dogs are in this picture? (4)
What do you see in this picture- an elderly couple, a vase or two people? (all of them)
(слайд 1-3)
What was unusual with the pictures? (It’s a magic. It’s an illusion)
Yes! You are right! Today we are talking about optical illusions.
Can you give me your own examples of the optical illusions?
Thanks.
Актуализация знаний
By the way, do you know the meaning of the word “Illusion”?
(выбрать определение слова из 3-х вариантов)
A thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.
Something existing only in the imagination (but often mistaken for reality)
Supernatural charm, spell or other method to dominate natural forces
(слайд 4)
Введение новой информации
Now, listen to the text. It’s Ex 2a at p48 in your textbooks.
And fill in the gaps using phrases from Ex 2b. Then read the sentences with the gaps only.
Физминутка.
Let’s have a rest.
Blink quickly. Close your eyes. Sit still, count slowly from 1-5. Open your eyes and make 3-4 circular motions with eyes to the right and to the left (slowly).
Введение грамматического материала.
Now, look at the screen again and let’s read the rule from the box.
Must/can't + infinitive without to = we are sure about sth:
This picture must be very old. ( I'm sure it's very old)
It can't be an original. (I'm sure it isn't an original)
May + infinitive without to = we aren't sure about sth:
This picture may be expensive. ( I'm not sure if it's expensive; it's possible)
(слайд 5)
Письмо
It’s time to practice this grammar rule. Look at the painting “The Kitchen Maid” by Johannes Vermeer and you are to choose the correct word in each sentence. Take the cards on your tables. (карточки)
(слайд4)
Good job! And if you look at this sentences more attentively you can notice the plan of describing the picture. Let’s write down this plan of describing the picture. Open your exercise –books:
1.The style
2.Colours
3.Subject
4. Location
5.Season/weather
6.What is in the foreground/background (записать на доске с детьми)
So, when describing a picture, describe it as fully as possible, as if describing it to someone who can't see it.
Д/з
Your homework will be Ex 6 p49 (describe the painting as fully as possible)
or Ex 3,4 p 27 (wb)
Подведение итогов (рефлексия, оценки)
Well, today we have talked about such mysteries of nature as optical illusions,
listened to the text about illusions, learnt to describe the picture. Yes?
So, did you like the theme of our lesson?
Did you work hard?
Did you get useful information?
And do you like English?
Ok, Good job! I liked it! What about Kolya’s job? Excellent?
Your marks for the lesson.
The lesson is over! Thank you for your work! Good-bye!
